ログインAuthor's POV
Emerald ran like a crazy woman, she was not in her senses. She didn't realise how many times she tripped and fell. Her body got so many scratches and injuries but everything got ignored.
She was in misery, the suffocation was more painful than the injuries. She couldn't take it anymore.
She reached the cliff and was about to jump, but she heard his footsteps behind her. She stopped to look at him one last time.
Egon looked at her challengingly, threatening her to try it.
He didn't ignore what she had done to her body while pulling this stunt.
His eyes told her that he was not going to let her jump, and he got even more pissed when she stupidly put the wooden stick on her neck. It was sharp enough to kill her.
He was furious but didn't let it out because it wouldn't end well for any of them.
"You think death can touch you without my permission, Emerald."
He mocked. Assuming that she is smart enough to think beyond her anger.
She should know that he won't let her die.
Emerald begged him with her eyes.
"Please___"
He kept glaring at her till she gave up for now and decided to go back.
Egon didn't carry her back because he caught a glimpse of an unexpected guest around him. Someone was hiding in the woods and was watching them.
Those curious eyes amused him, so brave to think that he won't notice who has entered his island.
He very smartly tricked and stood behind her. The girl was processing whatever she had seen.
She turned around and was taken aback when she saw him standing in front of her.
"Egon!"
The girl mumbled, he was one step close to grabbing her throat, and what was terrifying was that she didn't even hear him coming behind her.
He snapped his fingers in front of her and smirked.
"Welcome to my kingdom, Arabella."
She was the same girl whom he rejected as his bodyguard and the same girl who killed Spider.
He would have let her go, but now she is his enemy's woman, so he has to kill her.
Arabella tried to attack him but darkness started gathering in front of her eyes, telling her that his snap had drug in it.
She tried to handle herself, but it was too late. Darkness consumed her, and the last thing she felt was hitting the ground.
Egon threw her on his shoulder and carried her inside the castle.
Emerald was ascending the stairs when she heard him carrying Arabella. She frowned when he placed her on the ground and stared at her face for a minute. She looked familiar to him, but he couldn't understand why.
Emerald watched him curiously as he tied the girl in his mysterious knots and left her in the middle of the living room.
When he was done with her, he looked at Emerald.
"It's your turn now, run and hide if you can"
He smirked at her.
Her face drained of colour and she started running without any thought.
Egon caught her in no time and carried her to his room. She tried to get up from his bed but he pushed her back and yelled at her.
"Enough!"
She flinched back at the growl.
"Enough of your foolishness... Have you seen yourself in the mirror?"
She looked at herself and saw scratches and blood everywhere.
Egon grabbed the medical kit from the drawer and sat beside her, challenging her to struggle now.
She sat there silently as he cleaned her injuries.
"Who is she?"
"Why do you think that you deserve an answer?"
He mocked.
"You never bring enemies into your house... Is she special?"
She frowned.
"You are in my house so enemy logic doesn't apply here."
He applied ointment to her knees.
"Then what is the logic?"
She grabbed his arm when he was about to get up.
He turned and looked at her.
"The logic is, she is a fighter, and what's the fun in killing a fighter without a fight. It's been a long time since I have fought with a real enemy."
She let his hand go and he grabbed something else from the drawer.
Emerald watched him with a death stare as he tied metal cuffs around her ankles.
"It will slow down your speed."
He smirked at her death stare.
She rolled her eyes.
"As if it's going to change anything."
He grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her close.
"You pulled this stunt today, try it again I'll surely make sure that you don't step out of this room for the rest of your life."
He warned.
"You are not dying before me!"
She watched him as he stormed out of the room and then wiped her wet eyes.
"Bastard!"
She jumped out of bed and went out to see who the girl was.
Egon stopped by the stairs when he noticed her coming out of the room.
"Try to descend the stairs and I'll break your legs."
He warned while descending the stairs.
"And stay away from her, she is assassine. You won't even get the time to feel the pain while she kills you."
She scowled, jealous that he was speaking so highly of her.
Emerald decided to examine the girl for some time, she started stirring and opened her eyes.
Emerald frowned because Egon was nowhere near and she was waking up.
She thought the girl was tied in Egon's special knots of ropes, so she stood there, but soon her eyebrows furrowed when the girl set herself free from the bounds so effortlessly that it felt like she was picking up the bedsheet from her body.
Emerald watched her as she tried to find the way out and her eyes finally met with Emerald. They both watched each other, curiously, suspiciously and helplessly.
Suddenly the Egon entered and saw the girl awake.
Emerald wasn't expecting her life to take this turn but what happened next was really a surprise for all of them.
Author’s POVYears had passed, yet time had failed to soften the legacy of Egon and Emerald. Their empire was stronger than ever, feared by the underworld, respected by allies, untouched by enemies. Author's POV No one in the criminal underworld, not a even single soul would have ever imagined this day would arrive. Not in this lifetime at least. If someone had dared to suggest that Egon Bismarck, the infamous Mafia King, the man whose silence was deadlier than gunfire would one day stand at an altar… waiting for his bride? They would’ve been mocked.Ridiculed.Shot for their stupidity. And if anyone had claimed that the Queen, the woman forged from violence, vengeance, and unbreakable will walk down an aisle in a breathtaking gown, ready to offer her heart to the man she once swore to ruin?People would’ve placed bets on her blood before her vows.Yet here they were! Not predators circling each other anymore.Just two villains in love, a love that should’ve destroyed them long before it saved them. And the world had absolutely no idea what to do with that.Every major crime lord, assassin syndicate, cartel head, and underground monarch filled the cathed
Author's POV Egon held her like a man who had been starving for years and finally had something warm in his arms again. His arms tightened around her lazy morning frame, almost too tightly, as if she might dissolve into thin air the second he loosened his grip.“To be honest,” his voice came out low, a confession dragged straight from the center of his chest, “I thought you would never accept me again.”His thumb brushed her waist in slow circles — a habit he developed long before, one that never truly died.“I still don’t feel deserving of you,” he admitted, the words cracking slightly, “even though I’m selfish enough to not let you go.”Emerald’s answer came not through words at first, but through the way she burrowed even closer, nuzzling into the warmth of him like she was trying to sink into his bones. There was no fear, no hesitation — just a quiet, hungry comfort she had missed far more than she had expected.“I was in the same dilemma,” she murmured. She tilted her head to me
Author's POV Rafael had been too calm-too smug-when he asked her, "Are you ready to meet the real you?"There was something hidden behind that tone... something sharp, something calculated. Emerald should have protested. She should have pushed back. But at that moment, she was willing to walk into fire if it meant finding out who she really was.Rafael placed a naked sword on the table.A heavy, gleaming blade with a history soaked into its metal."Seen one of these before?" he asked, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Wanna touch?"Emerald's brows pulled together. She knew that question wasn't innocent. Nothing Rafael did was ever innocent. But the curiosity inside her was louder than the warning bells. She stepped forward and traced a finger along the blade-slowly, thoughtfully. She couldn't imagine the things Rafael had used this sword for.She wasn't sure she wanted to imagine."Ohh... who do we have here?"The voice behind her made her turn sharply.Another man stood there. Strikingl
Author's POV The ocean was about to witness their reunion again.Egon’s lips crashed onto hers with a hunger that had been rotting in his chest for far too long. It wasn’t a kiss — it was a claim, a scream, a desperate pull of two halves that had been cut apart and finally slammed back together. Emerald clutched his shirt with trembling fingers, dragging him impossibly closer, like she wanted to pull him under her skin.He groaned into her mouth, a raw, broken sound that betrayed every night he spent missing her. His body pressed into hers as the waves curled around them, cool on their skin, nothing compared to the heat rising between them. Her hands cupped his jaw, fingers shaking as they memorised him again — the stubble, the sharp lines, the warmth that had once been her home.“Egon…” she whispered against his lips, breath trembling. He closed his eyes like her voice hurt him. “Say it again,” he murmured, forehead resting on hers. “I’ve forgotten how to breathe without it.”She di
Author's POV Egon had abandoned the island castle long ago. Every stone, every hallway, every echo of that place carried the weight of what had been done to them—every wound they endured, every injustice that had carved itself into their story. Without Emerald beside him, the castle had become a living ghost, suffocating him with memories he wasn’t strong enough to face.So he had walked away.Yet today, he stood in front of it again. The familiar walls stared back at him like they recognised him—like they remembered the man who once ruled them. And standing there now, the past scraped against his heart like broken glass, burning through the thin layer of hope he was clinging to.Emerald wanted to talk. But she wanted to talk here.In front of the castle that had shaped everything between them.He didn’t understand what she had in mind, and that uncertainty was eating him alive. His hope had been dying since last night. She had avoided his touch entirely, like even his closeness felt
