They both simultaneously broke into smiles and turned in the direction of the announcer who had already gotten there and was ready to announce whatever she had to say. Alex shoved his hands into his pocket, stylishly watching Seb as he folded his.

He looked tired. Exhausted, even. His t-shirt looked rumpled compared to how it looked earlier and his hair looked dishevelled, lacking its natural style. “Was it stressful working over there?”

“No, it was okay,” like he heard his thoughts, Seb replied then ran his hands through his hair like he was trying to make it look smooth. “It felt weird not seeing you around for almost a whole day.”

“Don’t be dramatic,” Alex faked a scowl. “Nothing should be weird about that.”

“It did though,” Seb said, giving Alex a quick glance. “Um, earlier. Who was that guy you were talking to?”

“Oh, you mean George?”

“Is that his name?”
