Aaron punches his shoulder and laughs “Fuck you dude. You guys are just mad that I am the basketball star and you guys are stuck playing grab ass with each other on the football field.”
I can’t help but laugh watching their exchange. “So, you play basketball?” I ask giggling.
Aaron smiles at me. “Yeah, it’s much better than football.”
Logan rolls his eyes but even he can’t help but laugh. “That’s awesome.” I say laughing as all the guys continue punching each other and slapping each other’s shoulders.
Aaron winks at me. “You will have to come watch me play sometime.”
“Ummm, I’m not really big on sports. I have never really been a huge fan.” I say with an apologetic smile.
Calvin gasps and slaps a hand over his chest. “I am so offended. Now you have to come watch me play. Let me change your mind.”
All the guys nod in agreement. “Fine, I will think about it.”
Logan smiles and casually places his hand on my thigh. “I hope you will come see us play.”
Butterflies flutter in my stomach and I can’t help but smile back at him. If he keeps looking at me like that, I think I would do anything for him. The rest of the ride to school is filled with laughs and smiles.
As the bus pulls up in front of what looks like a cafeteria and comes to a stop I can’t help but feel a rush of nerves. I hate being the new girl. Especially since I am a senior now and it’s the middle of the damn school year. My mom just couldn’t wait to marry Curtis. I begged her to wait until the end of my senior year so I wouldn’t have to transfer, but as always, she put herself first over me.
Kids start filing off the bus one by one and I reluctantly stand up. Logan turns to me. “Are you ready?”
I give him a nervous smile. “No. Honestly I hate being the new girl.”
Logan gives me a reassuring smile and grabs my hand. “I will show you around.”
I look down at our hands for a second, before looking back at his face. I have never had anyone be this nice to me on my first day. “Thanks.” I say taking a deep breath and smiling at him.
“Let’s go.” He says intertwining our fingers and giving me a gently tug towards the front of the bus.
“I need to go to the office.” I tell him as we step off the bus.
He nods his head. “I will take you.” The guys are all waiting for us in front of the cafeteria. I can’t help but blush when I see Calvin and Harrison looking at our intertwined hands.
“Hey guys, I will catch up to you later. I am going to show Lilly where the office is.” Logan says to the guys.
They all nod and give me a smile. “See you later Lilly.” They say almost in unison.
“Bye guys.” I smile and wave as Logan pulls me up the hill away from the cafeteria.
Logan never let’s go of my hand as we walk towards a large building at the top of the hill, even as we get stares and even some glares from girls walking past. Logan just continues smiling like he doesn’t have a care in the world.
“This is the main classroom building.” Logan says leaning in a little too close to my ear. “The office is down here.”
The building itself is like one large, long hallway with lockers lining both sides of the wall. There are some small classrooms that break up the long lines of lockers and kids are walking in all different directions.
The office is small with a reception desk to the right and a couple of smaller offices towards the back of the room. There is an older lady sitting behind the reception desk. She smiles when she sees Logan.
“Logan. What can I do for you sweetheart?”
“Hey Mrs. Smith. This is Lilly. She is new here.”
Mrs. Smith turns her friendly smile to me. “Lilly, yes I was expecting you dear. Your mother has already filled out all of your paperwork. I just need to get you an ID and a schedule.”
“Thank you.” I say with a smile.
“Logan dear, would you mind showing miss Lilly around today?” Mrs. Smith says without looking up from her computer.
Logan gives her a devastatingly beautiful smile. “I wouldn’t mind at all.”
“Thank you dear.”
Logan winks at me and I can’t help but blush. “Thank you, Logan.” I say smiling.
It only takes Mrs. Smith a few minutes to get my ID and schedule. We thank her and step back out into the hallway. She told me to pick any empty locker. “Do you know if there is any empty lockers anywhere?” I ask Logan feeling overwhelmed.
Logan smiles and starts walking down the hall. “Right this way my lady.”
Rolling my eyes I laugh and follow after him. Towards the end of the hall Logan swings a locker open for me. “Here you go.”
“That was easy. How did you know where one was so easily?” I ask as I set a few binders in my new locker.
Logan gives me a mischievous smile. “My locker is right beside yours.”
“You gave me a locker right beside yours?” I say narrowing my eyes at him in disbelief.
“I sure did.” Logan says smiling. “Now lets look over your schedule.”
I shake my head smiling. I don’t think I have ever smiled this much in one morning. I am so lucky I met Logan this morning.
“English, Algebra 3, Chemistry, Spanish 3, Lunch, Digital Communications, Study Hall, and World History.” Logan says reading off my schedule. “Looks like I have all but three classes with you.”
“All but three?” I ask smiling. “So, you can take me to most of my classes today?”
“Of course I will. I am pretty sure at least one of the guys you met this morning is in each of the other three classes with you. So, you won’t be alone.” Logan says as he once again grabs my hand and pulls me through a set of double doors that lead outside.
“That makes me feel better. I hate being the new girl that doesn’t know anyone in my classes. Everyone always stares at you with those oh look at that poor girl looks, and it is so irritating.”
Logan laughs. “I honestly wouldn’t know. I have been at this school my whole life and we really don’t get that many new people each year.”
“Must be nice.” I say with a small smile. I have been to five new schools since seventh grade. What mom wants mom gets. No matter what I think mom does what she wants when she wants. At my last school I had amazing grades, several friends and I had even joined a couple school clubs. I should have known it was too good to be true when mom said she would let me finish out my schooling at my last school, she knew how bad I wanted to graduate from there. Then Curtis came along and all of that changed.
“You know what mom. Fuck you! I can’t wait until you get your shit and get out of my life. I never want to see you again.” I say, walking past her. Her eyes go wide and her mouth drops open slightly. Wow. For once she has nothing to say. The one time I wish she would say something else, just so I would have a reason to slap the hell out of her. Something I would love to do, especially since is the last time I ever plan on seeing her. Ryder puts his hand on my back, walking beside me as I head towards the front door. “Are you okay baby?” He whispers in my ear."Yeah." I whisper. I am okay, at least I think I'm okay. I feel like I'm going to cry, but I refuse to cry. My mom doesn't deserve a single one of my tears. After today I never have to see her or talk to her again and I won't. She doesn't deserve to be part of my life or my family. Reece, Raikin, Ryder and Curtis are the only family I need. They have treated me better in the short time I've known them than my mom has in the ei
I'm hit with a sudden wave of nausea and I instantly regret eating all that food. My mom is coming here. Just fucking great. Obviously I knew my mom was going to have to come get her stuff eventually, but I was kind of hoping Curtis could just box it up and mail it to whatever hell hole she is living in now. "Thanks for telling me." I mumble as I push back away from the table and stand up. I turn and walk out of the room, going straight to the bathroom. I really feel like I am going to throw up. "Lilly?" I hear Reece call after me, concern evident in his voice. I don't answer though, instead I run to the bathroom down the hall. I barely make it in there before dropping to the floor in front of the toilet and throwing up. Over and over again. Within seconds Reece is at the bathroom door. "Lilly, oh my God! Are you okay?" He asks, rushing over to me. I throw up again and Reece grabs my hair, pulling it back away from my face. "Are you okay?" Ryder asks, coming in the bathroom next.
“Good morning, Dad.” Ryder says, in a very chipper voice.“Good morning, Curtis.” I say. Curtis smiles. “Are you guys hungry? I can whip you up something to eat real quick.”Ryder laughs. “We were actually coming downstairs to cook some breakfast.”“Are you hungry?” I ask Curtis. He nods his head back and forth. “Yeah, a little. You guys don’t have to worry about me though. I can make myself something.”I laugh. “We are going to make enough for everyone. I’m sure Reece and Raikin will be hungry when they wake up.”Curtis smiles at me. “Well, thank you. I will just have some of whatever you guys cook.”Ryder smiles and turns to me. “Pancakes, eggs and bacon?”I nod. “Yeah, that sounds good. I can do the pancakes, if you will do the bacon and eggs.” I say, giving him a sweet smile. I hate cooking bacon. I love eating it but hate cooking it. I always manage to burn myself.Ryder smiles. “That sounds perfect.”I go to the pantry and get the pancake mix, then I grab a bowl from the cabine
“What?” I ask, surprised. I mean I want to spend more time with them too, but I don’t want him to drop out of school because of me. “Are you serious?” Ryder asks, just as surprised as I am. Raikin smiles. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I really don’t want to go back to school. I don’t want to be away from you for that long.”I stand up from my bed and walk over to him. I grab his hands in mine and look up at him. “I don’t want to be away from you that long either, but I don’t want you to drop out of school because of me. I can’t ask you to do that.”Raikin squeezes my hands, smiling down at me. “You didn’t ask me baby. I want to do it.”I don’t even know what to say. I don’t want him to go back to school, I really don’t. I don’t want him to throw away all his hard work either though, especially not because of me.“Raikin you can’t do that. You don’t have very much longer left and then you will be graduating, same as me.” Reece says. Raikin shrugs. “I don’t really care about sc
“I still feel bad; I just didn’t want everything to happen like this.” I whisper, looking down at the table. Curtis doesn’t say anything for a second and I look up only to find him looking at me sympathetically. “Come here Lilly.” He says, motioning for me to come over to him. I stand up slowly and make my way over there. Curtis puts his hands on my shoulders and smiles at me. “There is nothing to feel bad about. You helped me do something that needed to be done. After hearing the way your mother talked to you, and seeing the way she treated you it was pretty clear to me. She was not the kind of woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Nothing you did or said would have changed that, the only thing you did was help me get rid of her faster. I don’t want you feeling guilty, okay?”I nod my head slowly. “Okay.” I whisper and he smiles at me, pulling me into a tight hug. “I will see you guys in the morning, try to get some rest. I love you guys, and I do mean all of you.” He s
Curtis laughs. "Well for starters the three of you constantly stare at her, and I saw the way she looks at you guys. You three always had to go check on her together, telling me three is better than one." Curtis rolls his eyes and I laugh. "You guys also need to work on your whispering. I could hear you guys flirting with her all the time. You aren’t very good at hiding it. Plus, every time I mentioned a boyfriend, or Logan or anything like that, the three of you looked like you wanted to punch someone. So, honestly I should have known the three of you were dating her, but I guess I'm just too old and boring to think of something like that."We all start laughing. “Well, you are old and boring dad. We probably should have tried a little harder to hide our feelings for her though.” Ryder says, smiling at me. “Well, I wish you guys would have told me about your relationship. I understand wanting to keep it a secret though. I do have a couple of more questions about it.” Curtis says, lo
“I guess you’re right. I will see you down stairs in a few minutes.” I say walking out of the bedroom and down the hall to the bathroom.I take my time in the shower, thinking of all things I need to talk about with my guys. We need to set up some kind of ground rules, or something. I have never ha
She smiles, kisses my cheek and leads me down stairs her hand intertwined with mine. Reece is in the kitchen at the counter scrolling through his phone. “Where were you guys?” Reece asks looking at me and Lilly. His eyes trail down Lilly’s body, she is only wearing my T-shirt, no pants, no bra, and
I love him. Ryder is mine forever. He may not know it yet, but I know I will never be able to let him go. Not after everything that has happened. My phone dings pulling me from my thoughts and I roll over to my stomach on my bed propping myself up on my elbows to look at my message.Logan: Hey baby
That turned him on. Really? That’s kind of sexy. “Umm truth or dare?” I ask trying to change the subject. He smiles. “Truth.”That’s surprising. “Tell me your idea of a perfect date.”Reece tilts his head, smiling at me. “My idea of a perfect date. Let me think about that for a second.” He bites hi
