ARIA'S POV

I barely made it through my bedroom window before the day broke. My hands shook as I locked it behind me, I could still feel Draken’s touch

“Mate,” Luna whispered again.

“Stop saying that,” I hissed, collapsing onto my bed. “We can’t afford distractions. This is business, nothing more.”

“Keep lying to yourself, see where that got us.”

A knock interrupted our argument. I shot upright, smoothing my hair and clothes quickly.

“Aria? Are you awake?” Vanessa’s voice echoed thro

ARIA'S POVSix days had never felt so long and so short at the same time.I stood in front of my mirror, staring at the simple white dress hanging on my door. In a few hours, I would walk into that emergency council meeting as nobody. I would walk out as the Lycan Queen.Crazy.“You look pale,” Luna observed. “Having second thoughts?”“No. Just first thoughts catching up.”A commotion downstairs made me wonder what was going on. Angry voices. My father’s roar shook the entire house.“ARIA! GET DOWN HERE NOW!”“Urghh.” Here we go again. This was it. Somehow, they’d found out.I descended the stairs slowly, deliberately. The entire family was gathered in the living room. Alpha Kreig, Luna Casey, Adrian, and of course, Vanessa. Their faces looked pissed off.“Care to explain this?” My father shoves his phone in my face.On the screen was a formal announcement: “Lycan King Draken Black to wed Aria Kreig. Emergency council zoned for official introduction of the new Lycan Queen.”“Well?” h

Are you awake?” Vanessa’s voice echoed through the door. I froze. What was she doing here so early? “No, I'm dead.” Be asking silly questions. I rushed to change into my nightgown. I messed up my bed to look slept in, then opened the door with a fake sleepy expression. Vanessa stood there in a white dress, looking every bit the innocent angel everyone believed her to be. The sight made me gag. Literally. “Good morning, sister,” she smiled, but her eyes were calculative. “I hope I didn’t wake you.” “What do you want, Nessa?”

  • Betrayed Luna's Revenge    A Deal with the Devil

Aria’s POV The silence between us felt heavy. Draken’s dark eyes stayed on mine, like he was trying to read me. “You’re bold, Miss Aria,” he said. “Most wolves shake just standing near me. Yet here you are, talking about marriage like it’s nothing.” “I don’t have time to be scared, your Highness. So…do we have a deal or not?” A low laugh left him, sending a chill down my spine. Luna stirred inside me. What’s wrong? I asked her. “Something about him feels… familiar. Strange,” she said, confused. Draken leaned forward. “Let’s say I agree. How do I know you’re not a spy?” “You don’t,” I said. “But you’re curious. If you weren’t, I wouldn’t still be here.” His mouth curved slightly. Not quite a smile. “True.” “And if I wanted you dead,” I added, “warning you about the car brakes wouldn’t make sense.” “Fair.” He stood and walked to the windows, staring out over his land. “You said you know where the Ironclaw members are hiding.” “Yes.” “Prove it.” I pulled out my

Aria's Pov“Aria honey, mum is only doing this for your sake,” Luna Casey said for the umpteenth time “Does she ever get tired?” Luna whined, already tired of hearing her voice, over and over again.“Obviously not” I sighed, irritation bubbling. “What do you say? Your brother would certainly treat you well,” “Okay” I nodded, tired of her nagging Her eyes lit up, a sharp glinting passing through it, “I knew that you would not disappoint mum” she smiled smugly.I returned it with a small smile, “well, it's for my good right, there's no need to reject” I smiledShe nodded in approval, “I knew you would understand my good intentions. I'll go inform your father the good news” she clapped excitedly, and finally left, having achieved her goal.A sneer left my lips immediately she crossed the door, “I’ll make sure you don't see me coming, dear mother” the promise left my lips like venom.I would never forget how they treated me ever since Vanessa came back, at first it was mild and bearab

  • Betrayed Luna's Revenge    Eyes That Haunt

Draken's PovMy eyes flung open, my head felt like it was about to be torn into a million pieces, my body was drenched in sweat.“Why are you up so early” the figure on the bed stirred and purred softly, “Get out” I said softly, Her pupils dilated, she opened her mouth to protest but a look from me and she went quiet instantly. Gathering the bits of scattered clothes she had, rushing out with her head on her tail.“Good, I was in no mood to spill blood now, didn't mean I wouldn't if I needed to” I headed to the shower letting the water wash away the stench and smell of sex that lingered on my body. My mind wandered to the brown eyes that hunted my dreams every night. I sighed in exasperation, I was getting no where with this, the dreams just kept getting worser.Last night she had actually died in a very brutal way, I couldn't see her face clearly, but those eyes, those eyes were ones I would never forget easily.Water dripped down my body as I got dressed, I sighed at the sound

  • Betrayed Luna's Revenge    An eye for an eye

“Aria darling, what do you say about the arrangement, that way you'll still be in the family and we can all still care for you” mum's sweet voice cut through the air, as she spoke to me softly. What's going on? Did mum follow me to the after life? But that's impossible.“Honey, don't keep your mother waiting,” Father added, in that very soft toned that felt so unfamiliar now.Wait, why do these words sound so familiar, my eyes fell to my arms, it was smooth, lacking the bruises I had often spent hours covering under layers of makeup. What in the word is happening, I had died, my eyes caught my reflection in the mirror and a gasp slipped through my lips, my hand flew to my face“Impossible” I muttered, touching my smooth and unbattered skin.“What's impossible” mum asked.“Nothing,” I quickly said, “what day is it?” I asked, trying to confirm my suspicions.“Why are you acting all weird,” her eyes narrowed at me, “are you alright” she raised her hand trying to reach for my faceInstinc
