Clarissa’s POV.

I have never lost what I wanted severely in my life before, but with how my plan was going, I think I was going to lose out big in this deal, and that was why I had to do something about it.

Derek, my partner, lay his head on my lap while kissing each of my fingers seductively.

I sighed, “I don’t think she is going to fall for you, Derek.”

He smiled. His smile was so cute that it melts my heart. It was one of the reasons I had fallen for him, and why I was pinning on him. Derek was what I called handsome and brilliant. Most of the deals we had tried out were from him, and he mastermind most of it all by himself.

“You think so.” He questioned.

I nodded.

“I think she is already falling for me. She just needs more time to think about it.” He stood up, walk to the table, pour a drink into his cup and sipped it. I was expecting him to come back to my lap to rest, but he sat on the opposite chair looking at me with a strange gaze.
