"I want you to marry me." My eyes immediately widened as soon as I heard that from him. "After three months, we'll file a divorce and pretend nothing happened. Deal?" "Deal." I am MoonLeigh Fuentes, a simple poor girl who never cared about anything but to be successful in life and give my family a good life. My life has changed since the day that I met this cold-hearted CEO named Leon Dompteur. He is none other than my boss, and I married him for the money.

“I need you to pretend as my girlfriend and eventually, my wife.”
My eyes immediately widened as soon as I heard my boss, who was sitting on a swivel chair while looking straight into my eyes, say that. There was not even a tinge of joking in the tone of his voice, nor on his expression.
"W-What?" I asked, to make sure I really heard that right.
He leaned his back on his swivel chair and crossed his arms as he spoke. “I’m willing to pay you any amount. You name it.”
I gulped. "P-Pay me?"
“Yes. You can name your price and I will give it to you as soon as you sign the contract of this agreement.”
He suddenly stood up and walked towards me. “I know how much you need money right now, Miss Fuentes. Your mother is in debt, right? And your younger sister is also studying, and aside from that, it’s been three months since the last time you paid for your rent.”
How did he know all of that?
Is he a spy?!
“Miss Fuentes, I know the money that you get from this company is not enough to provide your family's daily needs. That is why I’m offering you an easy-money deal.” he casually said as if it was not a big deal.
"I-I just need to pretend as your girlfriend, right?" I asked him.
He nodded before finally walking back to his swivel chair again. "And eventually you will be my wife because next week we’ll get married already.”
“H-How long do I have to pretend?"
“Three months. After three months, we’ll file a divorce. As simple as that.”
“W-What if... what if they find out about this agreement? I mean, it's really surprising to know that a rich CEO like you would marry a poor woman like me, right?” I told him with my brows furrowed.
He heaved a deep sigh before responding. “They won’t know unless you make it obvious. I will pay you a huge amount of money, so you need to make sure you’ll be able to make them believe.”
“B-But if---
“What?”
“W-What if... What if I ended up falling for you?" I looked straight into his eyes as I said that.
Duh, I'm not a perfect person not to fall for a man I'd be with most of the day. Considering that he is actually handsome and rich.
“Then that’s not my problem anymore. You just need to also make sure that you will never ever fall in love with me. You know me, Miss Fuentes. Love would be the last thing on my mind. And all I want is for you to do your job once you agree to this.”
Oh well, who would even fall for a cold, snobbish man who doesn't even know how to smile? Actually, most of the employees here in the company can't even look straight into his eyes because of fear.
I nodded. “I'm just kidding. Come on, don't take that seriously, sir. Of course, I won't fall in love with you. I'm just a poor girl and you are a rich man. We're not suitable for each other. And other than that, I hope this wouldn't offend you, sir, but you are not actually my type."
“So, what’s your answer?” he asked me again.
I took a very deep breath before I spoke. “But we should have an agreement. Let's make some rules."
“That means it’s a yes, right? You agree now?”
“Yes.”
A smirk appeared on his face as he spoke again. “What rules are you talking about?”
“First, we can't sleep in the same room, and second, we won't tell about this to my family."
“Alright, is that all?”
“There's more!"
He looked at me with wrinkled brows. Impatiently waiting for me to finally say it. He's been playing with his ballpen using his fingers while looking at me. He kept on tapping it on his desk as if he wants to hurry things up.
“What is it?”
“U-Uh… we shouldn't… we shouldn't.... I mean, no... uh…”
“Miss Fuentes, I don’t have much time. Just tell me what is it already.”
I quickly averted my gaze from him. I could feel my whole face turning red as I finally had the courage to say it . “N-No sex!”
The surrounding was enveloped with silence when I said that. No one was speaking between the two of us until he suddenly started laughing. “A-Are you crazy? What actually crossed your mind to think that you’ll have to have sex with me just because we’ll get married? That will never happen, Miss Fuentes. Never.”
“I-I'm just making sure..." I mumbled.
"Alright then, you should sign it here." he said as he placed a paper in front of me. He gave me a pen and I grabbed that immediately from him.
This is it.
I am going to do something that would help our family.
With my heart beating so fast, I moved the pen and signed the agreement. I could even feel my hands shaking as I did that as if I was going to sell my soul to the devil.
"Thank you, Miss Fuentes. Now, we both finally agreed." He said as he took the paper from me again and signed it himself.
After that, I finally decided to leave that place and went home. On my way, I was thinking if I did the right thing. Oh well, as if I could still say no to that, I already signed the agreement.
I am MoonLeigh Fuentes, and because of poverty, I agreed to marry my cold-hearted boss and eventually become his wife without even thinking if I would regret that choice in the end. Without knowing that it would change my life forever.
Moon's POV"Leon Dompteur, do you accept Moonleigh Fuentes as your lawful wife?""I do.""Moonleigh Fuentes, do you accept Leon Dompteur as your lawful husband?"I glanced at Leon first, before finally facing the priest and spoke, "I do.""I now pronounce you, husband and wife. Mr. Dompteur, you may now kiss your bride."And as soon Leon heard that he looked at me with a teasing smile on his face. "You heard the priest, I can now kiss you."He was so eager to kiss me because I hadn't allowed him to during those past few weeks we were preparing for the wedding.I told him I would only allow him to kiss me after the wedding, and he got grumpy about it.I rolled my eyes. "Fine. You may kiss me know, but only for ten seconds.""Fuck the ten seconds," he said, then he pulled me close to him and claimed my lips as the audience started cheering and clapping.Leon kept kissing me as if he wanted to do it all day, so I gently pushed him away which made him glare at me."Why did you push me awa
Leon's POV"Sophia, I actually have something to tell you." I said while we were sitting on the swing where we used to go to back when we were kids. She turned her head and looked at me. "What is it?"I took a deep breath, then I spoke. "I can't marry you.""What?""I can't marry you. And I can't continue this relationship with us anymore.""Why?" she casually asked."I still love Moonleigh. I love her so much that she is the only woman I want to be with for the rest of my life. I know it's crazy. It's been so long now. I thought I would be able to move on from her, but I was wrong. She is still the one that I want. She's the only woman I ever loved like this."Sophia didn't speak.I thought she would cry, but then I got surprised when she started laughing.I looked at her with furrowed brows."Sophie? Why are you laughing?"She shook her head. She stopped laughing and looked at me. "I wasn't laughing because it's funny. I laughed because I already knew you would say that.""W-What?"
Moon's POV"You really are so good at choosing the best place to have a date, Moonleigh." Tyrone said as soon as he arrived at the place where I asked him to have dinner with me.I just gave him a simple smile. "I'm glad you liked it."I really chose to have our seat on the balcony of the restaurant where only the two of us were sitting there while seeing the view of the stars and the city. Just thinking about what I am about to say to Tyrone already breaks my heart. He has been so good to me since the start. I don't want to hurt him, but I don't want to lie to him either. We just ordered some food, then started eating. No one was speaking between the two of us. I didn't know how to start the conversation."You know what, Moonleigh. This is the very first time that you asked me out on a date. I mean, I didn't mean to offend you, but I just want to tell you how happy I am that you asked me for dinner.""I should've asked you a lot before."He shook his head. "But you can ask me anytime
LEON's POVI opened my eyes and got surprised when I didn't see Moonleigh beside me. I roamed my eyes around the room but I couldn't find her, so I stood up and put on my clothes before going outside."Are you looking for your girlfriend?" the old woman who owns the inn asked upon seeing me."Yes. Do you know where she is?"She shrugged. "Well, she already left early in the morning. She said she'll ask someone to go here to take you back to the hotel.""Did she bring her things with her?""I guess so. She was in a hurry when she left."Why did she leave me alone here?I took a deep breath and looked at the woman. "A-Alright. I need to leave now, too.""I think if you are having some misunderstanding, you need to fix it right away. You shouldn't let that woman go, young man. She is the one for you. I can see it.""Thanks. And yes, I won't let her go again."***When I reached the hotel, all the staff and the people we went there with told me that Moonleigh had already left. She just to
Moon's POVWhen I'm finally done taking a bath, I proceeded to the room to get the dishes that Leon used, but then I didn't find him there so I had to go to the kitchen and there, I saw him washing the dishes."What are you doing? You're supposed to be taking a rest now. Let me do that.""You have already done enough, Moonleigh. Besides, I feel fine now. Washing the dishes is nothing to me."I nodded my head. "I see. If you insist. By the way, I will just sleep here in the living room while you're going to sleep in that room.""And do you think I'll let that happen? You'll be the one to sleep there and I'll be the one sleeping in the living room.""It's cold in the living room.""Then maybe we can just share the same room together?"That stopped me.Share a room together with him?!"I mean, if that's alright with you. You can sleep on the bed while I sleep on the floor. At least both of us will be warm.""O-Okay."***"Here's the pillow and a blanket," I said, as I handed Leon a pillo
Leon's POVHow can she speak as if nothing happened? As if she didn't cheat on me and date that moron she said she was friends with? And now, she's making me feel like I was the one at fault and that I cheated too?Move on? Is that really so easy for her?No one was speaking to us while we were walking in the middle of nowhere. It was snowing, which made it even harder to see. It was evening already too, and we couldn't see any people from whom we can ask for help.Yep, we got lost."Why did you even decide to go there when you don't know how can we go back?" Moonleigh suddenly spoke, sounding so pissed off."Hey, you enjoyed all the activities too, right? Why are you acting as if this is all my fault? I didn't even force you to go here with me!"She glared at me, and I almost stepped back. "I didn't know anyone there except you, and since you are now my investor, I thought maybe I could get along with you for a better relationship with both of our companies. I had so much fun, but ge
