Chapter 21

Cora blinked at the unexpected information she received on the phone. Confusion clouded her whole being. It sounded too good to be true. "Are you serious about that?"

"Yeah, madam. I traced him and discovered he arrived in the country not too long ago."

Cora furrowed her brows, curiosity peppered her forehead. "Did you get why?"

"Unfortunately, no I didn't. They said he came for business and that's it."

Cora sighed shakily, trying to take it all in. "Wow. This is unbelievable. I wanna know where I can meet him."

"Of course, I'll..."

"Who are you talking to?"

Cora's heart fearfully skipped, and she immediately cut the call. She turned to look at the person who asked, giving her a straight unaffected face. "It's none of your business, Fiona."

Fiona shrugged. "Indeed, it isn't. You just seem like someone who's hiding something."

Cora gave her a short laugh. "You're just overthinking things. Why don't we get straight to why we're here."
