“Clara!” she heard Leo’s voice.
She looked up and saw that Leo and Jasmin were running towards her. Her tears started flowing again. She got up and ran towards Leo. She hugged him and started to cry out hard.
“Leo it’s all my fault. He’s in there because of me.” She wailed.
“Shh… it’s not your fault my little baby kitten.” He tried to calm her down.
"Oh, sweetie don't blame yourself." Jasmin said as she caressed her head.
Angelina came running behind Leo and saw Clara crying her heart out.
She kept blaming herself. Leo managed to calm her down after a while.
Just when she had stopped cry Drake came running towards her with Jake and Jennifer.
Angelina didn’t like her being here but she didn’t say a word.
“How is he? Do you have any news?” Jake asked worriedly.
“We don’t know. He’s been in there for quite a time.” Angelina told them.
Drake came in front of Clara when he saw how much of a mess she w
Clara was stuck inside a dark place. She kept running and running until she found Andrew. She saw him coming towards her but then he stopped when he was close to her. She saw blood slowly staining his clothes. She wanted to run to him but she couldn’t move. She couldn’t even hear her own voice when she called his name. She saw Andrew covered in his own blood and collapsed on the floor. He pointed at her. “It’s all your fault.” Those were his final words. “ANDREW!” she yelled his name as she jerked upwards waking up from her nightmare. “Hey, hey, hey. It was just a nightmare.” Leo said quickly coming to her side. She looked and him terrified. She held his arms. “Where Andrew? How is he?” “He’s fine Clara. He’s awake and alright.” He told her, trying to calm her down. “I need to see him.” She said getting out of bed and taking off the IV needle on her hand. “Hey, he's fine Clara you need to rest too. You passed out from s
They didn’t talk to each other the whole day or the day after that. On the third day, Clara got discharged without telling him. She went straight to her office despite Leo’s opposition. She dumped herself into work to forget about Andrew. She was immersed in what was in front of her that she didn’t notice Angelina calling her until she waved her hand in front of her. She looked at her. “What?” she asked. “This.” Angelina waved the documents in front of her. Angelina gave it to her. She opened it and looked at the papers inside it. It was the documents about Jennifer’s father’s company. She read through the documents. He had embezzled a lot of fund money that should’ve been used for the company’s products and he had harassed a lot of female employees too but he silenced them by either giving them money or by threatening them. “Can you make them talk for us?” she asked her. “I already contacted a few. Those who we
“Move.” He told her. She shook her head. “I’ll say it one more time Clara. Move.” He told her. “No.” she told him and pecked his lips which surprised him. She then put her arms around his neck and hugged him. He looked around a little not knowing what was going around. “You smell nice.” She said softly. “Are you drunk already?” he asked. “Mmm… slowly getting there.” “You have really low alcohol tolerance.” He sighed. “I don’t drink alcohol except for a glass of wine sometimes.” She told him. “Oh yeah? Well, you devoured those two glasses like you were an expert.” She giggled drunk. “That is the worst alcohol I have ever tasted.” “Yeah well, it wasn't made for girls like you.” She hit his head. “Oww.” “Stop making yourself so bitter. I like the sweet you.” she told him. “The sweet me?” He asked. “Mmm.” She nodded, “The one that cares about me
After breakfast, when her headache got light, she started remembering everything that happened last night. She got embarrassed and so she tried to avoid eye contact with him. “What did Drake tell you?” he asked her as he put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. “Hmm?” she asked not paying attention to him. She was thinking of ways to escape from him. He noticed that she was distracted. He came towards her and knocked on the table. She flinched a little. “What are you thinking about?” he asked. “Nothing.” She blushed. He narrowed his eyes at her. “You remember everything, don’t you?” “Remember what?” she asked innocently. He smirked a little and leaned closer to her. She leaned back a little. “Then why are you blushing?” “I’m not blushing.” She lied as she felt her face get hotter. “Stop lying your face is giving everything away.” He told her. She pursed her lips. He kissed her chee
A month and a half passed away as they went on dates and worked. Andrew started going to his office after five days since he got discharged. They both were very happy with each other but still avoided being alone together. Andrew’s shoulder was completely healed a month later. They got closer and closer to each other as the days went by and Andrew became more warmer and warmer towards her, even his attitude towards his employees was a little warmer. One day Clara was working on her laptop when she got a call. She looked at the ID. It was Er Yang. A very close Chinese business partner and a friend. “Hello? Yang Yang, How are you?” she asked in fluent Chinese as she answered the call. “I’m fine Clara. How are you doing?” He asked in Chinese. “I’m good. So what’s up?” “Clara I’m having a little trouble with our security system and you’re the only best programmer and trusted person I know. Will you help me?” “Of course. Send me the details
~The Next Morning~ Angelina slowly shook Clara. She opened her puffy eyes and looked at her. “Clara I’m going to work. You should get up and get ready, if you want to catch your flight.” Angelina told her softly. “Mmm.” She nodded lightly and got up. She had a little headache. “Can you give me something for my headache?” she asked. “Wait here.” Angelina told her and got her a painkiller and a glass of milk. She took the pill and got up. “Are you okay?” Angelina asked looking at her carefully. She nodded. “Getting there.” she said with a faint smile. “You should eat something before you do anything.” “Okay.” She nodded. She went to the kitchen with Angelina and sat down on the table. Her breakfast was already served in front of her. Angelina stayed with her until she finished breakfast then she told her that she had to go to work and left but she was still worried about her
Clara had reached China and had gone through all the procedures. She was going to take a taxi when she saw a guy with a sign with her name written in large bold font. She walked up to him. “Hi. I’m Clara Rose.” She greeted in Chinese. He bowed a little. “Hi. I’m CEO Er Yang's secretary. CEO Er Yang told me to escort you to the hotel. If you will please follow me.” The guy said in Chinese. She nodded with a smile. He took her luggage and escorted her to the car. She got in the car as he put the luggage in the truck. It was nighttime in China. She looked at the stars and the moon in the sky. She tried not to think about Andrew but fail again and again. Even on her way to the hotel, she felt heartbroken. Andrew’s words kept ringing in her ears. Eventually, she reached the hotel. The man gave her the hotel key and card and escorted her to her room. The room was fabulous and well furnished. It looked like a room for Queens and Kings. The ma
Andrew didn’t believe him. He grabbed his collar angrily. “Brandon I will fire you if you are lying to me!” Andrew raised his voice at him. “I’m not lying Mr. Bloom. It’s all over the news.” Andrew released him and went inside. He turned on the TV. Andrew’s heart sank as he saw the news. Brandon wasn’t lying. The plane that Clara was supposed to be on exploded as soon as it took off. “No, no, no. This can’t be happening. I can’t lose you too. No Clara please.” He said as tears fell down his face. He ran to his room and picked up his phone. “Please, please don’t be on that plane please.” He said as he dialed her number. Her number couldn’t be reached. He tried again and again but the result was the same. “NOO!” He yelled and threw away his phone hard on the ground. It broke into pieces. “No, no.” he cried as he slowly sat down on the floor. “You can’t be dead. You can't leave me like my mother did
