I leaned in the chair, staring at Amanda who sat before me as she smiled sheepishly to herself.

“Do you now believe me that I mean well for you?”

I was at a loss for words to say and how could I forget that she wanted me to make her child the heir to my businesses and that was why she helped me with Kayla? In the real sense, she didn’t help me but she helped herself because if I look into this further, she only did it because of her own gain. She knew all along and decided to keep it a secret.

“Can’t say that you mean well for me. Since when have you found out the truth about all of this?” I asked her and the smile on her face disappeared instantly as her brows tugged together. I could see how she was fighting the urge to not frown.

“It doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that I helped you to unravel the truth and you don’t need to father a child that doesn’t belong to you. Common Conan, you have to fulfill your promise and give me my accolades for doing a go
