CHAPTER 20: THE TRUTH

ALPHA XAVIER'S POV 

Getting married to her wasn't my biggest mistake after I realized she wasn't as bad as I thought and I also found out that I get hard whenever she was around me. 

It was always hard for me to touch women, I hated it when they touched me but with her, my dick would always stand strong and lust for her. Seeing everything that was happening, I decided to be gentle with her. I decided to give her a chance to be a woman who would be beside me until I would meet Mina again and by then, I would give her everything she wanted before sending her far away. 

Waking up this morning, I saw her beautiful face beside me and a weird feeling sipped into my heart. I touched her face gently, running my large fingers on her smooth and flawless face. A smile crossed my lips when she moaned gently and I felt the urge to finally consummate my marriage with her but I had to stop myself. 

She slept late last night and needed to sleep properly so she wouldn't feel too weak carrying my child. 

Yes, talking about my child, I slapped my forehead and groaned. She was carrying my baby all this while and I still treated her that way?

Damn you, Xavier!

I stepped down on the bed and went to take my bath. Getting out of the bathroom, I already had a thought on how to make her forgive me without having to say anything and I immediately picked up my phone. 

'Why don't you just apologize to her?' 

My wolf, Ryan said to me and I frowned. 

"How do I do that?" I asked, rolling my eyes. My pride wouldn't let me do that!

'So prideful and silly. You thought she was a witch but when you checked her, there was no sign on her at all. Nonetheless, you continued hurting her and even called her a slut last night, don't you know you've gone too far? I'm sure she hates you right now," Ryan scolded. 

'You are sure she is angry? Can't you feel her mood? Isn't she my mate?' I teased. 

My wolf appeared on my shoulders and rolled his eyes at me, this was the smaller version and this was how he appeared whenever he wanted to talk to me and show me how serious he was. "You! Did you perform the ritual yet? How can I feel anything from her when all you left her was the mark?" He asked angrily. 

"Sorry, I forgot," I waved my hand and dialled the number I was planning to call. 

Seeing that I no longer had his time, Ryan turned into mist and the next moment, I felt a harsh slap at the back of my head before he entered my chest again. "Damn, wolf!" I cursed. 

"Sir?" The voice of the person I called rang in my ears and I felt a little embarrassed. He must have heard the curse, right?

"Can you find out the hospital where Reah Milla's mother is being treated? Find out her illness and ask the doctors there how they could treat her. Tell them I'm ready to pay all the bills. They just had to make sure she was saved." I explained to the man. 

"I will do just that, Alpha..." He paused. 

"What's it?"

"There's something I need to tell you, Alpha. I found it out last night and I've been thinking of visiting you in the office to tell you today"

"Go ahead. I'm all ears," I replied. 

"The informants I sent out sent some report about Luna Reah last night. In the report, she is a half Witch, the daughter of Wizard Milla, who tried to kill you back then. Checking from that date, Wizard Milla was indeed with a daughter of his back then. He visited your house with that little girl who did that to you," He explained and I felt my heart turn cold. 

The memory of that day rushed into my brain and I staggered backward. The girl... The little girl that lured me into that place was Reah.

"My name is... My name is..." I tried to remember the evil girl's name but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't remember it. Even her face wasn't clear...

I ended the call and dropped my phone. I turned to look at Reah, who was still sleeping in bed and my heart clenched, could it be that she returned to complete what she wasn't able to do that day? She realised I didn't die and she decided to ruin me again.

I sucked in a deep breath and continued preparing for work but slowly, I could feel the hatred in my heart growing again. The urge to kill her kept growing strongly in my chest and when I could no longer bear it, I decided to call someone again.

Getting to the office, I turned to look at Reah, who had covered up the scar on her neck with a handkerchief, "That's your office," I told her and she nodded before walking over. "My assistant will let you know what to do later," I added before entering my office with my beta. 

"You should return to the Pack now," I told him. 

His place was in the Pack as I was always busy with several things. I work as an Actor, model and also a Conglomerate Chairman. There was a lot to do so I left most of the Pack's affair to my Beta and my best friend, Louis. 

"What do you plan to do with Luna Reah?" My Beta asked. I've told him everything that was reported to me. 

"Kill her or divorce her and then kill her. I can also reject her," I replied coldly and had my seat. 

My Beta shook his head "You can't do that. You know how much Luna Bella loves her and you know how her health is right now. Sending her away or rejecting her will only make Luna Bella angry and that might trigger her illness," He pointed out. 

I felt frustrated. "What do I have to do then?"

"Why don't you just make her leave on her own accord? Make her demand for rejection and divorce... That way, you can just explain to Luna Bella that she left on her own." He replied and a smirk crossed my lips. "You can offer her a huge amount of money that will surely move her," He added. 

I shook my head "Giving her money isn't something I want to do. I want her to leave so I can kill her but she doesn't have to leave happily either. I can make her live a living hell until she has no choice but to run away. That sounds nicer," I muttered dangerously. 

I clenched my fist and growled. She even had the gut to enter my Castle after what she did to me back then? If not death, what else could I offer her?

Thinking about how I had no idea whether Mina lived or not, the urge to kill Reah only grew stronger.
