PROLOGUE

"Tell me, what is your name?"

"Serene, my name is Serene." The alpha smiled upon hearing her name. He could not believe that her name was the complete opposite of his name.

"Serene, your name is as pretty as you," the alpha said while his hands traveled over her cheeks, "And while I am havoc and peril, you bring me peace." The alpha closed the distance between their lips after saying those words.

The omega was stunned, but after a while, her instinct took over as she responded to his kisses. She put her hands on the alpha’s head and pulled him closer for a kiss. They were both hungry for each other, but the alpha was stunned when her scent started to completely change. The alpha could no longer smell the distress and fear, but rather a very sweet, intoxicating smell started to invade his nostrils. It smells like cherry blossoms, with fruity musk and vanilla. It was too sweet, like the taste of her lips.

Havoc pulled away from her, and his eyes flashed bright red. His alpha inside him started to howl and chant the words "Mate! She’s our mate! Claim her!” in his head.
