Nikki's POV
"I must say your story is quite painful" he paused and leaned forward a little "but your past cannot change my decision" he pursed his lips "as I have nothing to do with your past or your pain. You were and you are related to Lucifer. I cannot make the mistake of trusting my enemy's fiance" his words acted like a dagger to my heart.
How much I was wrong when I thought that my sufferings could melt this stone hearted person. I have opened up my heart in front of him but he stayed impassive with my emotions.
"But I believe that eyes are the mirror of the soul" my eyes flickered to him as these words spilled out of his mouth. This is exactly what I believe "and if I go according to that then your eyes hold honesty, and your eyes are expressing that you are not lying"
He said while roaming his eyes on my body that was shivering like a leaf. He took a step towards me but I didn't have the energy nor willpower to make a move.
