Early the next morning, Cielo walked into the room where Joan was bound up in a corner. She leaned her head against the wall as she slept. Cielo stood by the door and watched her sleep for a moment before walking closer and tapping her awake. She loosened the rope that was used to bind her, freeing her before leading her to the bathroom where she had a cool shower.

“I will drop you off at the park some distance away. Your car is parked there. Here are your keys.” Cielo said, handing over Joan's car keys to her. After her abduction, she had returned to the scene to pick up the car.
