The beginning of a plan 2

Vivian dropped her body onto her double bed after entering.

Not only did Clinton eat the pizza she ordered, but she also talked non-stop. Vivian had absolutely no interest in this guy, so while pretending to listen with full interest, she started planning her next move to conquer Jaime. But Clinton interrupted her thoughts when he suggested they go to lunch off campus. After that, they went to see a movie. Although Vivian doesn't hate eating or watching movies, all of these are a waste of her precious time.

She will have to work harder tomorrow. Deftly reaching behind her to grab the blanket to cover her body, she took a nap.

"It's going to rain today." Giselle, Vivian's co-worker in the pizza shop, said while cleaning the table.

Stopping to arrange the chairs that a few teenagers had made a mess of during lunch, Vivian looked up at the sky with its thick gray clouds. Yesterday Clinton told her he was going to the library to look for documents, which meant he wouldn't bother her when she showed up on campus, but what about Jaime? She doesn't completely know his schedule. Is it worth getting drenched in the rain to have a fifty percent chance of seeing him?

Vivian thought about it for a long time.

"What are you thinking? Your phone is ringing." Giselle said.

"Uh, yes," Vivian said as she walked towards the counter. "Hello, Domino's Pizza. How can I help you?" Her hand instinctively moved to grab the pen and paper and scribbled the order as required. After hanging up, she decided to make a one-time bet.

What guy would refuse a girl waiting in the rain?

A sinister smile spread across Vivian's face. She would make herself look twice as pitiful as usual. Had she not run into Jaime by chance, she would have brought extra cash to catch a taxi back to the apartment complex. If today doesn't work, she will come up with another plan tomorrow. She decided not to give up if her goal was not achieved.

Working hours ended, and Vivian hurried out of the store in the pouring rain. She accelerates to run faster. After a few minutes, she was on campus.

The space was quiet, only the sound of rain and wind swirling together, hissing each beat. Vivian's body trembled, and she decided to wait at the bottom of the stairs for Jaime to spot her quickly or stand under a tree forty meters away, but that meant there was a seventy percent chance Jaime would see her.

She has to do everything to get him to notice her. Vivian bit her nails and looked around, realizing that the campus was almost deserted, with only a handful of students walking around but they were all carrying umbrellas, making her look like an idiot. Rushing to the economics department building, Vivian crouched down and waited.

She almost gave up after ten minutes deciding she didn't need to go through this, but then saw Jaime coming down the stairs with his coat over his head.

Aha! She cheered silently, punching her fist in the air. He also doesn't have an umbrella, which means he'll probably share his jacket with her.

Rushing towards the gray building, she quickly ran towards Jaime, who was too busy going down the stairs to notice her. Raising her hand, she deliberately looked at her watch and then turned back to wait for him to approach.

"Jaime!" She called. He looked over at her in surprise and stopped.

“What are you doing here?” He asks. "Are you waiting for Clinton?"

"Ah... Uhm." She nodded. "He said we'd meet, so I came right after work."

"He's in the library and went to see the professor," Jaime said then noticed her body was wet so he raised his jacket above her head. "I don't think he'll finish soon. Why don't you go home first?"

"Uhm... is that so?" Vivian pretended to be disappointed but inside she was happy that he shared his jacket with her. "Maybe I shouldn't have come."

Jaime smiled at her. "I'm not driving today. I can't drive you home, but is your apartment nearby? I'll walk there with you."

Walking... together... She internally screamed in victory and nodded. As they made their way to the gate, she was amused by the fact that they were so close to each other, but keeping a short distance, she wondered if he felt anything. If she leaves something in him, he will definitely think about her for days to come.

Vivian couldn't believe that everything had gone so easily according to plan. How wonderful, she thought.

Like Clinton, Jaime is also quite tall, almost a perfect guy. Jerry is a bit taller but that's a big deal because, on one criterion, Jaime has everything she wants. It's now or never to live the life she wants.

In fact, Vivian doesn't think it's a bad thing. She gave up her youth to work and earn money to raise her younger brother responsibly, ensuring that he had the care and affection that she could not receive.

Now that he's married and living his life on the good side, she wants what she never had. House, car, money without having to worry about what will happen to her.

Trembling, Vivian stole a glance at Jaime to see that his arms were wet from him covering her with most of his coat. It's a basic action that she knows most men would give. Jaime is kind of typical of her expectations. She smiled smugly to herself before they reached the apartment complex she lived in, he walked her to the door.

Take out your jacket, he said. "Are you getting wet a lot?"

"It's okay. Do you want to come in?" Vivian asked, he looked at her in surprise. "I mean, I have an umbrella for you to cover when you come back."

Jaime blinked hesitantly then looked at her again. A second later, they were in the elevator counting the numbers above the buttons to go to her floor. Vivian could feel the excitement welling up inside her like the heavy rain outside. Things are working in her favor.

When the elevator door opened, they walked out into the hallway, she led him towards her door, and he walked and observed everything.

"Sorry." She said as she opened the door to let him in. "The apartment is quite small, maybe not what you expect."

"I don't care about these matters." He shook his head.

"Sit down. I'll go get you a towel to dry off." Vivian suggested and went into the bedroom to search in her closet for a freshly laundered towel. She silently thanked Hodja for buying her more than what she needed even though she complained every time he did.
