Larry's pov

It had been a few hours since the chaos at the ceremony, and now, back in Rowan’s bedroom, the elite palace healers crowded around the bed, checking my vitals with wide, disbelieving eyes.

They swept glowing medical stones over my chest, shining lights into my pupils, and whispering among themselves in absolute awe.

"His pulse is completely steady," one healer reported, shaking his head. "The tissue damage is entirely gone. By all medical laws, this shouldn't be possible."

Larry's povAunt Kiera paused, her face turning pale. "Remember how I told you recently that our pack has been experiencing violent riots?""Yes! You said the borders weren't safe because of political unrest," I recalled."It's because of him," Aunt Kiera whispered. "While I was away helping you in Rowan's pack, my uncle began stirring up a rebellion against me, telling the pack I wasn't fit to be Luna because I was trying to 'bring back a weak Omega back into our noble lineage.' But when my loyal guards searched his estate, we found undeniable evidence that he was practicing black magic to hurt people... We literally found people's skeletal remains and proof that he was the one pulling the strings behind the supernatural attacks your mother experienced while she was carrying you!"I gasped loudly, dropping my phone an inch in shock. "He... he was the one hunting my mother?!""Yes," Kiera said grimly. "But back then, we didn't know the full extent of his hatred for Evelyn. We though

Larry's povI leaned my head against Rowan's shoulder, my mind still reeling. "Is... is she really going to be executed?"Rowan sighed softly, looking down at me. "I know you still have a sliver of family loyalty left for her, Larry. So here is what I'll do: once she breaks and confesses who gave her the black magic, I'll commute her sentence. Instead of execution, I'll have her permanently banished back to the human world, never to set foot in our realm again. It's the best mercy I can grant her after everything she's done to us."I nodded slowly, feeling a heavy weight lift from my chest. "Thank you, Rowan.""Now," Rowan said, his tone softening as he kissed my forehead. "The alchemists are still a threat, but Sasha will be dealt with. Catherine is recovering, and the guards are doubling her protection. The only thing that matters right now is you, and making sure you are legally shielded from the Alchemists and High Council. Let's go back to our room while the guards search this pl

  • Claimed by his bully brother in law   Catching the criminal

Larry's povWe sprinted out of the medical ward, and after a few minutes... bursted into Alistair's private suite where the king who had been recently healed was now resting. The old king was resting comfortably in bed, looking much healthier than before. He blinked in surprise as the four of us barged into his room like a pack of wolves."Rowan? What on earth is—" Alistair started.Rowan rushed over to the sitting area near the window. Sure enough, resting on the mahogany desk was an identical ornate metal incense burner.Alistair looked at us, thoroughly confused. "What is the matter with you all? Why are you staring at that?""Father," Rowan said, his voice shaking with fury. "Who gave you this?"Alistair blinked. "Sasha. She brought it to me as a gift just the afternoon before my heart collapsed."The room suddenly began to spin as the puzzle pieces clicked together with terrifying clarity."So it truly WAS her," Calvin whispered, staring at the floor. "Sasha poisoned the king. Sa

"The tissue damage is entirely gone. By all medical laws, this shouldn't be possible."I sat up against the pillows, feeling completely normal, as if a fatal knife wound to the heart was nothing more than a bad dream. But my mind wasn't on my own health."What about Catherine?" I asked urgently, looking at Calvin, who stood near the foot of the bed. "How is she doing?"Calvin’s face fell, a heavy shadow crossing his features. "She's stable... but they had to sedate her heavily again. She's chained to her bed in the psychiatric ward for her own safety."I frowned, running a hand through my

Larry's povSuddenly, a brilliant, piercing flash of white light broke through the endless void.It started small, like a distant star, but it rapidly expanded, getting brighter and brighter and brighter until it filled my entire vision with a warm, blinding glow.I stood blinking in the light, completely disoriented."Finally..." a smooth, melodic voice echoed from the illumination all around me. "Finally, you're here."I spun around, looking into the glowing fog. "Who... who are you?"From the center of the light, a figure materialized. But as I stared at it, my breath caught. The figure looked exactly like me.... yet bathed in living, golden fire, exuding an ancient, terrifying, and limitless power. The entity chuckled softly. "Who am I? Really, Larry? Do I have to spell it out for you? I am you. At least... I am the true 'you' that was always meant to be. If we merge together, you'll finally be whole."I stepped back, shaking my head in total confusion. "What?! I don't understand!

Larry's povTime suddenly seemed to grind to a terrifying, agonizing halt in that moment.I saw the glint of the blade. I saw Rowan starting to turn around, completely unaware of the lethal strike rushing toward him.And suddenly... my entire life, my entire future, and every heartbeat of my soul flashed before my eyes in a blinding fraction of a second.No.The word tore from my chest before my brain could even process it.And without a single second of hesitation, driven by an overwhelming, primal instinct to protect the man I loved more than life itself, I threw myself violently forward, putting my own body directly between Catherine and Rowan.CHING.A wet, sickening sound echoed through the silent hall as Catherine drove the dagger down with all her remaining strength. The blade sank deep into my chest, plunging straight through my ribs and piercing my heart.A sharp, searing explosion of white-hot agony ripped through my body in that moment, but I could barely even scream."LARR

Larry's pov“Wow,” Rowan said. “I didn’t realize you’d be this shy after last night.”I gaped at him in shock. “After… after what?” my voice croaked. The laughter instantly died, and he frowned.“Wait,” he said slowly. “You don’t remember?”I felt dread fill my tummy. “Remember what?”He studied me

LARRY’S POV“Larry?” My sister, Sasha, called again, louder this time. There was something in her voice now— it sounded like confusion… and something very close to panic. “Larry, seriously, have you seen him? He’s not in his room.
