Synopsis

CHAPTER 1 THE ACCIDENT

"Are you sure you can drive?" Austin asked me uneasily.

I could see at his side where Ashton, staggering, fainted from drinking too much. Dylan, on the other hand, was sound asleep in Austin's car.

We are now outside of the Bar and it's already late at night, we are also planning to go home. I think Austin was the only one who wasn't even hit by alcohol.

"Me?" I asked while pointing at myself.

I saw Austin's unconvinced face. He wanted him to take me home and return my car the next day, which I quickly refused. He was about to speak when I turned my back on him and opened my car.

"Wait a minute, Lance!" I heard Austin uprising against me before I could close the car door completely. I even turned on the player and turned up the volume, which was kind of deafening to the excessive volume of the music that almost thundered inside the car.

My head was shaking with the music, which made me even more intoxicated. When I noticed that Austin's car was following me, I just grinned and stepped on the gas causing it to plunge even faster.

I noticed the pouring rain on the front of my car, followed by the light coming from the sky and thunder that even surpassed the strength of my player. When I remembered what happened today, my emotions started to heat up, I drove even faster in my car.

I even heard my phone ring, I ignored it because I saw it was Austin. It just kept ringing and I ignored it when the registered name changed was from my Mommy.

I shifted my gaze to the passenger seat and to the road to pick up my phone so I could answer my mother's call. My heart was beating so fast when I saw the blue car was also driving so fast and we were both going to crash into each other.

 No, this can't be.

I was so shocked when the car swerved away from me and it hit the concrete wall on the road, instead. I could see how the car crashed and how badly it was.

 I almost faced a near-death situation.

I hurriedly got out of the car and quickly went to the car that I had almost collided with. The front of the vehicle was flattened due to the force of the collision. The impact of the car was strong because of its speed. In an instant, my intoxication disappeared.

For the safety of the driver of that car, I had to look and help him because he needed my help. No cars were passing because it was late at night. The rain was also heavy so I couldn't see if anyone was around because I could only see large and heavy raindrops in the darkness of the road.

I forcibly opened the car. I looked inside the passenger seat in shock, when I realized that she was a woman and she was unconscious. I was sure her head was hit because of the force of the impact when her car collided with the concrete wall.

 She just saved my life!

Even though the situation was dangerous, I still came across her unconscious face. If not only because of the flowing blood on her head, you would think that she was just sleeping. Her beauty is like an angel.

I quickly and carefully lifted her into my car then I hurried to the nearest Hospital. I was immediately asked by the nurses while male nurses carefully lifted her from my arms and put her on a stretcher.

"May I know the name of the patient?" the nurse greets me.

"I just accidentally met her, I don't know her name." The Nurse-only nodded.

This was the first time I experienced this. It was between a life and death situation. If she did not turn the car to the other side of the road, I'm sure my condition is as critical as her. I just saw my phone and realized that I hadn’t answered my Mom's call because of what happened. I took it and called her.

 "Mom…”

"Son, where are you? You need to go home now; your father is here," I was stunned by what I heard.

I have never met my real father. I only grew up with my mother. Neither his shadow nor his face, I have never seen because they never mention anything about him.

Every time I ask a question they don't say a word except, "Mommy is here…" or "Grandma is here," and "We love you," that's all they always say.

Why in this case when an accident happens?

"Okay mom, I'm coming home," I ended the phone call.

I just gasped. I have to go home. I would have liked to keep an eye on the woman to make sure that she is okay. As much as possible I do not want to leave her because I feel sorry for her condition. I think she has sustained a severe head wound.

I sorted out the ones that needed to be fixed. I first made sure that the Nurses and Doctors would take care of her before I left.

The next day I tried to go back to the hospital where I took her so that I would know the woman's condition as well.

I just left for a while, and now the woman was nowhere to be found.

"Miss, may I ask where the woman who was brought here last night was around 10:00 p.m? The one who crashed the car. I was the one who brought her here last night. I just want to check if she's okay," I asked even though I wanted to search the whole Hospital, I just wanted to see the woman and make sure she was okay.

"Sir, are you sure you brought her here? There are no records that a woman was brought last night, only pregnant women and wounded men were rushed here last night. I'll talk to our Head Nurse for a moment because we don't have any more Doctors left who were on duty last night. I'll just call her, Sir." I just nodded.

"Sir, I will accompany you to her office," She politely said to me after she talked to the Head Nurse.

"Good morning," I greeted as I entered the faculty. The Nurse left as well

"Good morning, I'm the Head Nurse of this Hospital. The Nurse told me that you were looking for a patient who was brought last night?"

 I just nodded.

"We were also wondering why her records were lost. I was the one who assisted the Doctor who gave her first aid because her condition was serious. Her relatives also came; all I knew was that she was transferred into a better Hospital because this Hospital is not able to deal with her condition."

Family? But how? Before I left I called the Police to help me identify the woman but none of the police could provide any information about her.

Even the car used did not have a license plate and did not know whose car it belonged. So there was no identification with the woman I brought. How did that happen?

"Is she okay?" I asked worriedly.

I don’t know what kind of reaction the Nurse threw at me.

"The patient's condition is not good, when her family arrived they immediately disappeared like bubbles with the patient. I wonder how the patient records were lost." She shook her head because of disbelief.

"Is that so? All right, thank you," then I left that room.

I'm sure someone took her and that's her family according to the Nurse I talked to, but how come?

I was left wondering how there could be no records left when in fact, she came from that Hospital.

 I hope she's safe.
