The Billionaire's Bidding

Prologue

"Hi Loise!" Carla greeted me. I smiled at her and greeted her too. Of all the employees here, she's the only one who's nice to me. Ang ibang babae kasi dito makita lang ako sobrang taas na ng kilay. I didn't do something wrong, but I guess no matter how good you are people will always have something to say about you.

Pinagpatuloy ko na lang ang paglalakad ko papunta sa cubicle ko. I need money more, than asking them about their problem about me. I don't have an energy to have a confrontation with them, If they're mad at me so be it. As long as I knew myself I didn't do something wrong to them.

I was so oblivious of my work that I didn't know It was already morning, hanggang 6am lang ang shift ko. After fixing my things I already left the building. I walked 5 minutes para pumunta sa sakayan ng jeep. Naalala ko noong first time kong mag-commute, I don't know how. Ni ang pumara ay hindi ko alam. Muntik pa akong maligaw dahil mali yung sinakyan kong jeep but thankfully may tumulong sa akin kaya nakauwi pa ako. Desperate to survive in this world, I learned to observed my soroundings and the people around me and learned to adjust. 

Buti na lang at nakasakay kaagad ako, hindi pa naman punuan ngayon dahil sobrang aga pa. Nang makita ang kanto sa amin ay mabilis akong pumara at bumaba. Bumili muna ako ng pandesal sa bakery na nasa gilid ng kanto bago naglakad pauwi. After years of living in this kind of place ay nasanay na din ako sa tahimik ng boung lugar. 

I smiled after seeing the cute little girl  outside hugging her teddy bear while definitely waiting for someone. She's still wearing her pajamas and her hair is still messy, halatang kakagising niya lang pero nasa labas na ng pintuan. She's yawning and still sleepy. Her face lit up when she saw me walking towards her. She instantly ran towards me.

Aw my cute little happy pill.

Just seeing her face makes me happy. Nakakawala ng pagod.

"Good morning baby..." I kissed her forehead. She's hugging my knees and looking at me. Her eyes always reminds me of him. She definitely had all his facial features. Unfair how she only got my fair skin. Nevertheless I still love this beautiful gift I ever have.

"Good morning mommy..." Inaantok pang saad niya kaya naman ay binuhat ko siya at hinalikan sa pisngi. Isinandal niya ang matambok niyang pisngi sa balikat ko. She's facing my neck.

"How was your sleep? Did you miss mommy?" I asked her. Umupo ako sa upuan na nasa sala at kinandong siya. She put her little arms around my neck and embraced me tighter. I smiled of her small gestures. I brushed her hair with my fingers while gently rubbing her back.

"I dreamed about daddy..." Mahinang sambit niya na nakapagpatigil sa akin. " I never mentioned him to her but I guess there's something that we can't control. I never mentioned him because I knew we're better without him. And Lauren never ask me, but I knew deep inside she also wants to meet his Dad. But I just can't, I knew what he's capable of. He'll move heaven and earth and be the evil itself.
