Chapter 9: Scary dreams

Chapter 9: Scary Dreams

Author's POV

Cole woke up with a start, where am I?

That was the first question that kicked into his subconscious mind,

The felt and looked strange to him, where is Mira?, Is he still in the office?,

Wait, what's that?, Rain?, Of course it's Rain, he shook her s head and took a minute to focus, this has never happened before, Even when he's on a business trip, he always knew exactly where he was, the moment he wakes up, Panic started to kick in, but he forced I back, he didn't become a billionaire by being Panicky.

He focused a little bit harder, then everything that has happened In the last sixteen hours came tumbling into his mind, he took a long deep breath, he suddenly felt cold, he looked towards the window and saw that it was open,

He stood up and felt light headed, he closed the window and drew the curtain,

Amy, the name crept slowly into his mind, is she cold too?, the rain became stormy, with thunder and wind howling harshly, he started for his door, she's sensible, of course her window would have been closed, he'll check just in case, if her window is still standing open, he'll close it and right back to his room, having made his decision, the only hindrance to his mission was that he doesn't know where she sleeps in, he stepped outside his door, he took a step forward and the light went out.

"Arrgh" Cole groaned, thunder rolled across the sky illuminating his path for a brief moment, he opened the door next to his, it seemed to be free of human Presence, he walked blindly across the hall, almost loosing his balance when he walked blindly into what felt like shelf.

Who keeps a shelf in the middle of a hallway?, he fumed silently

He listened for sound, hearing none,

"I should really save myself the trouble and go back to sleep right this instant" he grumbled to himself, but still forged ahead in the darkness.

Just this once, if it happen not to be her room, I'm going back to Mine, Cole promised himself, that's if I'm able to find mine before I injure myself, he thought.

He moved along the hall, feeling the wall with his hand, he heaved a sigh of relief when his hand finally touched a door, he reached for the door knob and pushed.

The door fell open and he stood there staring inside the room, he almost pulled the door shut and find his way back to his room when he heard noticed the silhouette of a figure shifting on what appear the be a large bed, by now, thankfully his eyes had adjusted to the cold darkness, he peered into the room to confirm if it was really hers, he almost released another sigh, why did she not lock her door though?

He asked himself as he stepped into the room,

Of course, she doesn't need to lock her door, its her house after all, he concluded.

Cole felt cold when he entered her room,

He glanced briefly at the window, even though he knew without looking, her window sat open.

He closed the door gently behind him and walked into the room, he shut the window and turned to leave, he stopped dead in his track and listened, apart from the sound the rain was making, there was somebody making another sound and it was coming from Amy, he turned slowly and made for the bed, the large sized bed looked inviting but Come was more Concerned about the lady on it.

He should probably leave her be and go back to his room, but he realized as he had this morning in her shop, his good judgment fails when it comes to her, he seem to be doing the exact opposite of what he should actually be doing.

He peered down at her in the darkness and found her tossing around, she released a frantic sob, Cole climbed unto the bed and put his hear near her mouth, she seem to be saying something but the sound of the rain drowned out her weak voice, he pressed closer.

"No... please... I'll do whatever you want... I promise... Dad please!... No!.. Mom help!..."

Her words were in parts, Cole couldn't understand the meaning of her words, but if there was one thing he understood, it's that she was very scared of whoever this Nightmare Daddy she was whimpering about, she raised her hands as if to stop someone from hurting her, she broke into a sob, lighting rolled across the sky and for a moment Cole could see her tears stained agonizing Face.

It turned on simething inside him, the urge to protect her, even from her dreams overwhelmed him, he laid beside her a  drew her deftly into his arms.

"Shhhh" Cole whispered and moved his hand up and down her back.

"I'm here now, I won't let anything happen to you" he whispered, trying desperately to allay her fears, he succeeded after many attempts

He sighed when Amy's hand closed over his shirt and held on tightly, he could hear the rain pelting down hard on the roof, it was time he left, he tried to pry her hands away from his shirt but she held on tightly and moved closer in into his embrace like her life depended on it.

Cole wanted to groan but managed to force it down, Firstly, because he was frustrated, Secondly because her body molded perfectly into his, and have him immense pleasure, he tried one more time to make her release his shirt but instead of letting go, she clung on to him for dear life and Mummured some incoherent sentences.

"You got yourself into this Cole McCoy, she'll surely have your head when she wakes up and find us like this" Cole Muttered to himself. The best he could probably do is explain how they got so close, Think she'll believe she was the one that clung to me and not the other way round?, he mused to himself silently, she shivered lightly and he drew the covers over them.

Well he'll face whatever happens in the morning, for now his body was itching to get some rest, Cole settled to sleep with her in his arms, but unknown to him, he wasn't going to get his much deserved sleep, not with her curvy body pressing close to his.
