Synopsis
Who knew that bumping on to a stranger's car would give someone a one way ticket to a world they so despise and desperately avoid? Sienna Melendez doesn't want to be married, nor fall in love. She had that tattooed across her brain. She doesn't need these things, she can live and be happy just by herself. Plus, she doesn't want the pain that comes with love. It hurts, anesthetics could never help, and time doesn't seem to heal it at all. But when she bumped into a guy's car, she thought that after a few negotiations and her paying for the damages, they would just forget and move on. No, her parents thought she was being too friendly with him and thought it was best for the both of their companies if they were married. Prologue
Marriage is sacred, making a vow in front of God, in front of law, and in front of people, a vow that should be upheld and must be kept sanctified.
As a child, Sienna Melendez had always dreamed of a perfect wedding for herself, being one of the most sought-after flower girls for her parents' friends' and relatives' weddings. She had seen so many people say their vows to each other, and her young mind thought it was so magical, something off of a fantasy film even.
But as she grew up, she had seen those couples break up, she had seen how the vows that they had made in front of God were broken, she saw how the sanctity of their marriages were broken beyond repair, and she can only think that maybe...love isn't real after all. Or maybe, promises are really only meant to be broken.
And so she made a mental note to never love, to never get married, to only focus on herself, because at the end of the day, the only person who will always be there to love her is herself.
She focused on doing what she does best, carrying the pride and glory of her parents as she did so, and though she felt like she was controlled, she didn't say a thing. But when they told her that she had to marry someone for the betterment of the company, she felt something inside her snap. Her childhood fears resurfaced, but what can she do when she can't ever say "no"?
She just have to endure a life of being married to the cold bachelor and the heir of the Valencias, the "demon" as she had nicknamed him, Neo Valencia.
