Daniel's POV

“Why is she acting like this is her first time being grounded? I wanted to make it a three day confinement, you know?” Marcus slammed his palm on his thigh, a sinister smile appearing on his lips.

“I knew that wouldn't be necessary. She doesn't have the balls to disobey our order let alone challenge them.” I added, taking a sip from the glass between my fingers. The savory taste burned down my throat, my eyes shutting for a moment as I enjoyed the fire.

I opened my eyes and sat up, my head pounding lightly. It was morning already? What happened?Marcus? Is he okay? The last thing I could remember was hearing the chairman say the rituals were completed and the curse had been broken. I yawned again while hoping to hear an answer but there was no response.I frowned slightly, looking around the room.“Claire?” I called again, a little louder this time.Still no response. I massage my temples as a strange feeling settles in my chest.I pushed the covers off my body slowly, trying to ignore the slight dizziness that came with the movement. My head still hurt, a dull pounding that reminded me something wasn’t right.Wha

The shaman brought our a pocket knife, cutting him horizontally on the palm and letting the blood drop in the circle.“This should be enough.” He said after a few more drops.“Are you sure about that?” Marcus inquired, sticking his hand out, willing to donate more of his blood to save me.“Ofc course, Sir Marcus. All e needed was six drops of blood per the moon goddess's instructions.Marcus nodded and took two steps backwards untill he stood by Daniel's side. The blood which he had donated into the palm of the shaman was then poor out into the circle.I watched in silence as the blood hit the ground. A drop after the other. About five drops hit the floor, splattering. The shaman walked back and took a seat where he had originally sat at the beginning of this.I was expecting an instant reaction immediately when the blood hit the floor but at first nothing happened. I told my head around on both sides hoping to catch a glimp

  • Curse Of The Nine Tailed Luna    The Blood the Moon Demands

Lila's POV The shaman looked like he was in trance.“We need the blood of one of your lovers. The moon goddess requires his blood to break the curse. Your lover being bonded to you, helps like a catalyst.”My breath hitched for a moment and I thought I'd die from suffocation. For a moment, I thought I didn’t hear him properly.“My… lover’s blood?” I repeated slowly, my voice almost a whisper. “What is that supposed to mean? I do not have a lover. What games are the moon goddess playing?”The shaman did not move. His eyes were still shut, His body so still. He looked like he was physically present but was somewhere else. Somewhere far away.“Yes,” he said again after what felt like a minute or two. His voice was deeper now, almost like he was being influenced by a spirit that wasn't his.. “The bond you share makes the ritual stronger. Without it, the process may fail. We need your lover to contribute a few droplets of his blood. That way reduces the chances of you dying in the process

Marcus stepped in, his eyes taking in the decent room.“We'll manage. It's not like we have other choice.”I folded my arms across my chest, leaning slightly against the door.“Good for you. You have to improvise…” I said. “Because this is all you’re getting. this is the best room I have in the palace and you should be grateful that I'm willing to let you dwell in it till midnight.”Daniel let out a low chuckle, but there was no humor in it.“We do appreciate the kindness you have shown us and we are grateful.”he uttered but I couldn't decide if he was being genuine
