Jovita's POV

I woke with a mild headache. My sleep last had been far from peaceful. I had a terrible nightmare that seemed very real. In the dream, the woman who claimed to be my biological mother was scolding me for endangering my life. The scolding lasted for probably an hour or more, and she made me promise her I wouldn't do something that stupid again. Funny enough, I promised her.

I raised my head to see four worried eyes scanning my face.

“What the fuck!” I screamed but sighed when I realized it was my bestie.

They exchanged worried glances.

“Were you dreaming?” Maddie asked.

“No, just in my pre-wakeup state. Why the fuck were you staring at me like that?”

Maddie placed a thoughtful finger on her jaw, leaning closer to me. “Your lips looked so pulp, and sexy that I wanted to kiss them”.

“Pervert! Get off me”, I screamed, throwing her a pillow, and rolling from the bed to the floor. I ignored the pain in my butt as it hit the floor. I needed to run for my life.
