An unexpected visitor

Olivia stared at me with a blank expression.

"Wow!"

She suddenly stood up and started pacing, then sat down again..

"Wow! This is so....so.."

"Fucked up?" I asked helpfully.

"No, romantic. This is so romantic ." She said with a bemused expression.

"What?" I am sure she was going crazy.

"Well , you both are from enemy camps, who accidentally fell in love. Now you need to overcome your differences, to be together. It's like Romeo and Juliet!" Olivia said with a goofy smile.

"You and Aiden are like Romeo and Juliet, only like the werewolf type. It's so Shakespearean!" She said wistfully.

"Are you trying to tell me we'll both die in the end?" I frowned.

Olivia was always kind of goofy, but in this case, I'd call it madness. I clutched my chest, barely able to hold my laughter.

"Of course not! What I mean is, this is fated. The moon goddess has matched you both. It must mean something!"

I rolled my eyes. " Well what do you suggest I do now? I have a fiancee that is sweet, loving and incredibly smart. I've had my whole life planned out, but I don't seem to see my crazy, narcissistic mate in it. What's worse? He's also my brothers rival. Forget Shakespeare, my life is a Greek tragedy!" I lamented.

"I understand you perfectly. What do you want to do?" She raised a brow.

"I want to reject him." I said as my wolf fought with me. My wolf had been mourning ever since I left Aiden. My Chest hurt constantly.

"It's not that easy you know?" Olivia scoffed.

"Why? Mates reject each other sometimes. It seems pretty easy to me." I replied.

"You think you can simply say the magic words and the bond will break? It's not that simple. Our wolves are quite strong, the Alpha's bonds are even stronger. If you ever try to break the bond, it will not work, unless the rejection is mutual. He has to reject you too. Your wolf will certainly fight against it. In your case, your fiancee is a human so you will never be marked by another wolf who is not your mate. You might try to run away, but the mate bond will always draw you back. The grief Will drive you crazy!"

I shuddered, no wonder some wolfs committed suicide when they lost their mates.

Aiden had not marked me yet.

"But I've not been marked by Aiden yet." I mumbled.

"That wouldn't last for long. He would mark you soon enough." She said as a matter of factly.

"He won't be able to mark me if I leave the pack." I smiled.

Yes, this would be the best. Antonio would understand why I had to cut my visit short.

Olivia laughed...

We're talking about Aiden Casanova. Do you know who he is? He's the richest, most powerful Alpha currently. When I say rich, I mean stinking rich. He owns lands, private jets, and a mini personal army of warriors. He's a fucking billionaire!"

I gaped at Olivia. Different packs had their different lifestyles. Some worked, or had businesses to sustain themselves. The money was mostly used in maintaining their packs, and their territories.

Some packs were well to do, like mine because the previous Alpha established numerous businesses, and allowed different pack members to pursue the career of their choice.

We had doctors, lawyers, police officers, and all sort of of professionals in the oval moon pack.

Lucian is the boss of the stock market. He is like the wolf of lone street in a literal sense. Along with other businesses, and investments, I don't know about showbiz, but he is loaded. Just forget about Mark. He'll most certainly chase you to the end of the earth, and find you. Running won't work." Olivia took her time to explain.

"I'm fucked!" I grumbled.

"I don't think so sissy. Aiden is the most eligible bachelor Alpha. Many women would kill just to be with him. You are lucky. Is your wolf ready to let him go too?

"My wolf wants him more than I do. All she wants is to get laid , probably under Aiden." I said sarcastically.

"Well, sex with any other man is going to be difficult now that she has found her mate." Olivia giggled.

"It wasn't easy earlier though. My wolf never approved of Mark. She was constantly being pushed down by me forcefully, but now she was over powering me.

My head started to throb, and I had no idea how to get out of this mess. Aiden would come for me, that's for sure. It was only a matter of time. Maybe I could just talk to him, and make him see reasons why we couldn't continue this bond.

"What kind of person is Aiden? " I asked Olivia.

"What do you want to know?"

"Everything ." I answered.

"I don't know, but I heard he has a reputation of being ruthless. He killed his father's beta who was managing the pack upon his father's death, as soon as he turned eighteen."

My eyes widened in surprise.

"His father's beta was managing the pack? Why?"

"Well, his father died in a rogue attack years ago. He was thirteen then."

"My father also died the same way." I said softly. I felt tears trying to fall off my face again. This was something new. Knowing he also lost his father at a young age softened my heart a little bit.

"Except that the war that happened some years back was fuelled by him." Olivia nodded.

"So that's why Antonio hates him." I thought out loud.

'You can hate him for his past mistakes for all I care' My wolf whispered within me.

It seems like she had already forgiven me him without my permission.

"So there is a way to break the bond?" I asked.

"They are ways if the rejection is mutual. He has to reject you too, or at least accept to break it. Or if Mark Is bitten by you and turns into a werewolf it could work. Then, he could in turn mark you, and be bonded with you. Can you bite him?" Olivia asked.

I bit my lips nervously

"He doesn't know what I am.'" I replied sheepishly.

"Oh dear! And you agreed to marry him? How is that supposed to work?" She asked, looking at me incredulously.

"I will tell him.... someday..I don't just know when." I mumbled. I wasn't sure if he'll even agree to get bitten. My goodness! I wasn't even sure if I wanted to marry him.

Olivia stood up and started pacing again. She always did that when she was tensed.

"Blair do you even love him? Be honest with me."

"Of course I do. Just that my wolf wants Aiden, and I want Mark. It's like being torn apart in two different directions." I broke down.

"Well, you can have them both and have a threesome." Olivia grinned.

"Any other suggestions? My head will soon blow off." I said sarcastically.

Emma stopped pacing, and sat down. "I don't have any more suggestions. I think you're fucked."

I sighed.

We were quiet for some time, them I turned to Olivia.

"When does Antonio want to question me? I think I'm ready." I sighed. I just wanted to get this over with as soon as possible.

We were interrupted by shrill beeping of danger sirens. The high pitched noise could not be heard by humans, but only by wolves. It was as alarming as war sirens.

"Looks like we're under attack." Olivia panicked.

"It must be Aiden ." I said.

We dashed out of my room into the living room, and the foyer. The entire house was in mad chaos. Antonio, Thomas, and all the warriors were already out with their guns.

Olivia was rushing into the safe room with her twins. Few other vulnerable women were being ushered into the safe room which was in the basement.

"Blair go into the safe room now!" Antonio thundered as soon as he spotted me. He was carrying a gun as well.

"Antonio I have to stay back. I am the only one that can stop him." I said breathlessly.

"What do you mean?" Antonio eyed me.

"It's Aiden isn't it? He has attacked us hasn't he ?" I asked.

"Yes. He has broken through the the check points and they'll soon arrived here very soon. I'm not going to let him harm you, and that is why I said you should go to the safe house."

"Antonio listen to me. I have to stay with you. I think I can convince him." I could barely complete my sentence, before I sensed him. From the window, I saw a convoy of SUVs arrive in front of the house. Several gunmen dressed in black stepped out of them including Aiden.

He was also dressed in black, but unlike others, he wasn't carrying any weapons. My wolf lept in joy, while my heart fluttered.

He looked dashing as always. Antonio gritted his teeth, and pushed me behind a wall of guards. Olivia held my hand tightly.

I waited with bated breath, as Antonio received Aiden's message. I don't know what they conversed, but Antonio ordered one of his guards to open the main door.

"You guys are poor at entertaining guests." Aiden smirked as he walked in, flanked by four gunmen.
