Vincaster had always been private and disliked media intervention, just like any other CEO. Only her relatives, Mayor Keith, and secretary Daniel had known that he got married to a mystery girl.

The mayor and Daniel were the ones who knew about what happened and the truth in their marital status.

Serina had fallen asleep, and Vincaster found himself drawn to her. He recalled how he planned on using this girl ever since he found out about the signed papers. The papers were sent by his friend, Keith, to tease him, but Caster finds it convenient to register it and declare the legitimacy of their marriage. He used his money and connection with the city mayor to wrap things for him. Then, he asked his loyal secretary to stalk and find out her whereabouts and what about. Fortunately, luck must be on his side because it turned out that the young girl needed money.

It saves his time, and he thought he found a woman that would not cling to him once the contract ended.

"Serina Alpheus..." he uttered and thought that he had heard such a name before, but before he could start thinking where to find his curiosity, a stewardess had interrupted.

"Sir, you might want to drink wine? We offer this expensive wine freshly fermented from Italy."

He shook his head and looked at the window to avoid a conversation with the lady.

The lady left sulking because he brushed her off without looking at her. Her effort to retouch her makeup had gone to waste. She wonders if the woman beside him was his relative or his lover since they were together in this private section of the plane.

Meanwhile, Serina was torn between opening her eyes or acting asleep until they arrived at their destination. She knew what would happen next, an embarrassment, to be precise.

Back then, before she traveled back in time, she tried the wine and vomited on her husbands' suit and pants.

'Good thing about traveling back in time is I have a timeline of the events for the whole year, and I could use it to my advantage,' says a voice in her mind.

"Finally, I was able to change the present," she muttered, which made Vincaster stare at her with a confused look.

"Tell me, did you oversleep? You were behaving oddly since this morning," says Vincaster.

"Yes, I slept for a year." She rolled her eyes and paid no attention to him when all of a sudden, her tummy roared.

Gone with a fierce and domineering cold look replaced by stretched-out lips from laughing his ass loud. "Do you have a monster inside your belly, Wifey?"

"Tsk, darn it!." She throws a knife-like gaze at him. "What's so funny, Mr? Was it funny to hear a roaring stomach? Also, can you not call me wifey? it's cringe and disgusting." She placed her palm on her mouth upon realizing that she had said exactly the same word before she traveled back in time.

"This is insane! Things are going back, according to the past. Could it be that I will also fall for him in this life? If that's the case, why did I even travel back in time?" she murmured, but Vincaster failed to hear it because he was busy buying food for her.

At the back of her mind, she was almost close to cursing the god. 'You must have fun watching me go through the same misery twice, don't you? What a piece of--' it was her exact unspoken word, and she chose not to stress her brain, blaming the divine being.

He waved his hand to let the flight attendant know that her presence was not needed anymore; since the food for his wife had been served.

"Here, wifey. Eat as much as you want and don't mind eating less in the banquet later," says Vincaster while watching her sipping on the noodles.

"By the way, we can kiss and embrace each other for the sake of our drama. I hope you memorized each clause in our contract."

Serina was busy chewing her food before Vincaster's statement choked her.

"How can you act and convince my family if a lame statement like that would fluster you easily." He tapped her back as he offered water to mend her choke.

Serina looked at him, and her eyes ran through his piercing eyes. His expression is cold... but his hands that tapped on her back are warm. She soon realized that maybe, it was one of the reasons why she fell for him back then, despite him being an inconsiderate, domineering, and manipulative person.

'If I didn't develop feelings for him back then, I wouldn't die, and would things turn out differently?'

Her mind suddenly flew somewhere and landed on her past memory. Back then, Serina thought that Vincaster might have developed feelings for her too, but it turned out it was all her wishful thinking.

On the day she died, he was there...

'Why would he chase after me?'

'Why did he try to save me?'

'Why did he shed tears that day I died?'

Too many questions, but she is no longer interested in digging what's all in the past. All the mixed-signal she could think of vanished as soon as her memory recalled how she caught Vincaster with another woman before they could talk about the divorce.

Maybe those memories of seeing him desperately beg everyone to save me were all in my imagination. Maybe, I was delirious and hoping to see him even in my dying moment...

'He did not love me back then, and he'll never love me this time too.' It was what her mind told her, and she believed in it.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" he asked when he noticed Serina was looking at him as if looking beyond his soul.

"What was I to you?" She asked without realizing her voice had come out from her mouth, and it was too late for her to take back those words because he had heard her already.

"What do you mean by asking me that vague question?"

Her eyes were unsteady as she tried to come up with an excuse or something to divert the conversation, but before she could come up with something, her mind went crashing in an adrenaline rush as his face moved closer to her face, trying to catch her gaze.

"D-don't mind me, I think the noodles are stuck on my head. Get your face out of my sight because it's irritating the hell out of me."

She closed her eyes with the realization that out of all excuses that could be of use, why did she pick the lamest among all lame excuses she could come up with?!

"Is that so?" He asked while closing the gap between their faces.

Serina panicked when Vincaster caressed her cheek and...

Psyche and Serina decided to study again for a master's degree as soon as their children turned two years of age. They are now celebrating their achievement on the lawn and garden of Liverteo's manor. Serina and Vincaster buy a bigger house with a wide lawn and garden because they want to build a playground and tree house for Vera, and hopefully, if there's another blessing to add to their family tree. "Congratulations on getting the degree, wifey." Vincaster kissed his wife's cheek. "Also, congrats to you Psyche," he added. "Congrats, Honey." Daniel kissed Psyche's lips, which made the Liverteo cringe, and they said in chorus, "The kids are watching." "They are busy playing, so kissing on lips is fine." Psy

Serina woke up feeling annoyed with her husband. She even hated the smell of the food he had cooked for her. “What’s the occasion? Why are there so many disgusting foods?” she asked. “You look thin, so I wanted to feed you,” he replied as he pulled a chair and helped his wife to occupy the seat. Well, it was true, she did not gain much weight compared to some pregnant women who usually gain a lot during their pregnancy. Maybe because she became a picky eater, which she had never done before. And, she suspected that the baby is likely to have inherited such a trait from his fussy dad. “It’s because I’m so stressed seeing you every day. Anyway, what’s the point of gaining weight?” she replied while scrutinizin

"Sister, didn't you just celebrate your first wedding anniversary last April, so why are you getting married again?" "Well, your sister promised that we will have a double wedding," Psyche interrupted. "I see. I also want to have a double wedding with my first bestfriend," says Savinah. "You're too young to get married! Mom, watch over this kid, she's blabbering about marriage," she scolded her younger sister but the latter only rolled her eyes. Then, Samira and Saniah only laughed. "Duh, I didn't say I am going to marry at this age," Savinah retracted. Serina was about to respond, but the bridal car had arrived already.

Serina was decluttering things along with Vincaster's wheelchair because he no longer needed it. Those things that they no longer used were stored in Serina's room. After all, it was unoccupied since she agreed to share a room with her husband two months ago because it is easier to tend to his needs if she's near him. Moreover, she had confessed her feelings to him, and there was no need to disclose what had happened after the confession; even a man with a cast on his right leg can still warm a bed. Vincaster was in the office, and Serina has no classes today because the school calendar is yet to start. She was kind of nervous about the school opening this August. Her husband told her that they should make a public appearance as a couple to clear the rumor of her being a mistress. Although such a topic had died eventually, still, they need to make it clear.

The sun cast shadows on worn gray stones, filtering through green tree leaves, bright yellow flowers pushing up through thick grass. One can hear the wind rustling leaves of nearby trees that defy the silent atmosphere, as there are no other people around the vast grassy area of Royale Y cemetery, aside from Serina and her company. Serina wore a white above-the-knee dress and paired it with white heels. She brought a bouquet with her, which she placed on the ground. Then, she scented a candle and prayed for the person lying six feet below the ground. She stared at the sky and watched the clouds move in a clear blue sky. "I hope you are at peace wherever you are," says Serina as she caresses the tomb with the words 'Rest in peace' engraved on it. Daniel patted her

Serina didn't know why she was standing in front of the door, holding her phone. She was back from the seminar only to realize that her feet brought her in front of the hotel room where she saw Vincaster with Hillary."What the hell am I doing here?" she asked while holding the doorknob of the hotel. Suddenly, a cold wind blew hard, along with a voice that said, 'it's about time'.Then, the next thing she knew was, her hand had opened the room. She witnessed the same picture from the past, whereas Vincaster was with Hillary, covered with a blanket from neck to toe.In the back of Serina's mind was cursing whatever force that brought to go to this place. It might sound insane, but she momentarily lost control of herself. Indeed there are truly unexplainable things that
