One-sided Love

Before going to bed, JC took the time to order a bouquet of pink roses for Anna tomorrow morning on a delivery app that he found on the internet. The florist turned out to be located on the main road next to the Northern Light Premiere Hotel where he was staying and was open 24 hours. 

Not long after, JC fell asleep in a dreamland that brought him back to meet Annastacia. In his dream, he was chasing and laughing with Anna in a forest under the warm summer sun. His heart seemed so happy to see Anna's smile that was as bright as the blue sky at noon. Until his sweet dream was cut short by the sound of his cellphone's alarm ringing so loudly. 

JC groaned in annoyance and sat on the edge of his bed rubbing his eyes which were still heavy from sleepiness. He dragged himself into the bathroom and splashed his body under the cold shower that morning. JC hummed carelessly in his sweet voice, "I want you, Anna ... my beautiful butterfly ... I want to kiss you again and again ... and again." 

The memory of the spontaneous kiss in Anna's basement apartment made him crave that kiss and some more touches. Too bad the girl still adheres to the old tradition of not wanting to sleep with just any man, including his handsome self, complained JC in his heart. 

After taking a cold shower, JC dried his body and then wore a black t-shirt that tightly wrapped his burly body and casual blue jeans. JC's hotel room doorbell rang. JC rushed to open the door.

"Good morning, Mr. JC, is it true that you ordered this bouquet of pink roses?" asked the flower shop courier he ordered last night. 

"Morning too. That's right. Thank you. Here's a tip for you, Boy," answered JC as he handed a $1 to the flower courier because the bouquet was paid for via an online application. 

JC looked at the bouquet of pink roses and thought they were very pretty for Anna. A handsome man and a beautiful flower bouquet must succeed in melting a girl's heart, JC thought confidently. He grabbed Anna's car keys from the nightstand and left for Anna's apartment before it was too late and too late. 

In her apartment unit, Anna had finished taking a shower and drying her hair. She dressed naturally with loose powder and her favorite strawberry-scented pink lip tint. Anna let her hair down first because all day she would tie her hair while working. Anna stuffed the personal items she wanted to take to the hospital in her navy work backpack. 

"Knock knock." 

There was a knock on Anna's apartment unit door. Anna thought it might be JC who was supposed to pick her up this morning. She put the backpack on her back and rushed to the door. 

"Morning, Beautiful Doctor," said JC hiding his face behind a large bouquet of pink roses, there were 25 blooming roses strung together with white baby breath flowers. Anna received a bouquet of beautiful pink roses with a sweet smile on her face. She thanks JC. 

Then JC pursed his lips and furrowed his thick brows at Anna. "I expected something more than a thank you, sweet lady," he said. 

"Hahaha ... ouch, what should I give in return for these pretty flowers?" Anna replied while laughing softly looking at JC with a flushed face. 

"A kiss maybe ...," said JC, shrugging his shoulders slightly disappointed. While in his heart he said, 'And a hot touch also tempting my mind.' 

"Again?" asked Anna, frowning a little scared because she had never been in a relationship before and JC wasn't her boyfriend either. 

JC's hands immediately pulled Anna's body so that it pressed against hers and then crushed Anna's lips without any excuse. The strawberry scent and the sweet taste of Anna's lips made him both drunk and hungry. 

The sensation of the touch of JC's possessive lips made Anna giddy as if her brain was foggy. Anna's hand gripped JC's shirt on the young man's chest.

They were both gasping for air as they breathed raggedly and their hearts racing in their chests. 

"Anna, you're driving me crazy!" said JC as if he couldn't believe what just happened. He had never wanted a woman like this. 

"JC...please, we're going too fast. I'm not used to having a relationship with a guy in such an intimate way before. You're confusing me," Anna replied, covering her face with her palms. 

"Well, I'm similar to you ... ummm maybe a little different, usually I don't use feelings. Meanwhile, with you, I always feel bad. Let's go now, Anna, I don't want to make you late for work," said JC, putting Anna's hand in his hand. 

Anna locked her apartment unit and then walked hand in hand with JC to the elevator to the basement parking of the apartment. They don't talk to each other and look the other way avoiding physical contact. 

Before leaving for Wyndham International Hospital, JC invited Anna to have breakfast with him at Chandelier Restaurant. The menu served is delicious as JC said last night. 

The smoked beef mozzarella sandwich in Croissant with crispy fries and the Huzzarean salad that Anna ordered were so tempting. JC ordered the same menu as Anna, for him the girl's taste in choosing food was commendable, always delicious. 

"Anna, can I take you out to dinner tonight? Erm, I think I'll also play billiards for a while, do you like playing billiards?" asked JC trying to find a chance to see Anna again. 

Anna hesitated because she didn't know what her schedule for today would be. The snowy weather makes many traffic accidents which of course keeps her busy and even has to work overtime.

"I'll tell you later Jason, I don't know my schedule for today. I'm sorry ...," answered Anna cupping her palms in front of her chest pleading for JC's understanding. 

'Wow... there's a girl who refuses a date from me?! Millions of girls out there are lining up to ask me out! Is she from outside this planet?' JC thought a bit shocked. 

Anna glanced at JC's face, which was like a cat choking after swallowing the ball. "Are you all right, Jason?" she asked. 

"Listen, Anna, you'd better take your time tonight. Tomorrow I'm leaving North America and flying to California and I honestly don't know when we'll see each other again ...," said JC in confusion. 

He hated this situation. When he falls for a girl and can't do anything to stay by her side because of their very different professions. His management would also forbid him from dating a surgeon, it would disturb his popularity. Their love story certainly is blocked by status. How annoying! JC cursed in his heart. 

"Jason, I don't think our relationship is going to work out. You're an artist in Hollywood and I'm in a small country in North America. I'm living as a resident of Grenada, a country where even when you open the g****e app you can't read much. We'd better be friends, okay?" said Anna, explaining the gloomy prospects of their relationship smoothly.

Anna's words made JC speechless, is his love just one-sided this time?
