Chapter 3 The Beginning of Magic

The next day, Li Kong arrived at the back of the mountain as promised and saw the old man who had been waiting for a long time.

"Grandpa, let's start instantly."

"Why are you so impatient? I have already prepared it well for you. Come with me." Looking at the excited young man, the old man chuckled affectionately.

The old man moved his hands, and the white transparent whirlpool appeared again.

"Come in quickly. Your training will be done here in the future." He waved at Li Kong who was completely stunned.

"Alright, Grandpa, what is this? It is so magical. Why is it so different seen from the outside and inside?" The words of the old man brought Li Kong back to reality.

Li Kong quickly stepped in the whirlpool and asked in surprise and curiosity after seeing the scene inside.

"This is called little space world. Only mage from the space system can create it." The old man explained with a smile.

"Don't ask anymore. Let's start your training first." The old man exhorted.

"OK." Li Kong nodded his head vigorously and began to cultivate himself under the guidance of the old man.

"Brat Kong, how was the medicinal bath for this month?" The old voice broke the silence of the woods.

"I'm not too sure either, but I didn't feel any pain in the recent medicinal bath." A teenager who was soaking in a wooden bucket replied.

The old and young were naturally Li Kong and Liu Kuilin.

"You feel no pain anymore? Sure enough, you have a very strong ability to receive, as expected of the Devour Physique."

Hearing what Li Kong said, Liu Kuilin fell into meditation. After a while, he shook his head and pulled back his thoughts. He said, "Brat Kong, you can come out now. Today is the weekend, and you still have time. Come out and rest for a while. After you adjust your condition to the best, start the Elemental Perception as I taught you."

Since ancient times, only the person who sealed the source of the dark beast had the Devour Physique - the young man in front of him was the second who could accept all elements.

For Li Kong's part, his words were like gospel. In order to hear this, he had bitterly endured a month of medicinal bath.

From the bone-eroding pain at the beginning to the senseless body at present, he had thought of giving up countless times, but he endured it all because he knew that only if he became a mage, his parents could have a stable life.

"Alright." Li Kong nodded heavily. He needed to adjust his state to the best, and he had a firm faith that he could become a mage.

"Hold your breath, relax your body, and try to sense the elements around you. Let's see what elements are actively approaching you." Liu Kuilin instructed from the side.

Hearing Liu Kuilin's words, Li Kong gradually emptied his mind and quietly perceived the elements around himself.

After a while.

"Brat Kong, do you feel any elements drawing closer to you?" Seeing Li Kong remain quiet, Liu Kuilin asked curiously.

"I don't know either. I feel that there are many colorful elements slowly avalanching towards me. I can't tell what attributes they have." Li Kong told the old man what he sensed.

Li Kong was also a little puzzled. According to the old man, red was fire, yellow was earth, green was wood, gold was gold, blue was water, these were five basic elements. There were also some rare elements, like black was dark and white was light... but there were no elements that were colorful.

"You should carefully count if there are five colors." The old man asked, feeling a bit agitated.

That man once said, "Only with the foundation of five elements can one break through the shackles of the Eleventh Grade."

"Let me see, one, two, three, four, five, yes, five elements." Li Kong answered after counting the elements he had sensed. "Grandpa, what kind of element is this?" Li Kong scratched his head and asked.

"Ha-ha, Brat Kong, how can it be just one element? It's five elements. Try to sense it carefully." Looking at the curious expression of the young man, the old man immediately smiled as he replied, revealing his yellow teeth. "Try to guide one of them into the palm of your hand and release them."

There was no time to be excited. Li Kong immediately followed the old man's words and slowly guided the red elements into his palm. Suddenly, a ball of flame slowly appeared in the middle of Li Kong's palm. Then, with a thought, a drop of water also appeared in his palm. Then, there were some tiny grains of sand, a young sapling, and a piece of golden metal.

Seeing the five elements that were constantly changing in the palm of his hand, Li Kong could no longer control himself. He excitedly exclaimed to the old man, "Grandpa, I did it. I also became a mage, and I also awakened five elements."

Staring at the excited Li Kong, Liu Kuilin was also very pleased. He was very clear about the energy contained in this medicinal bath, and the impact of this energy was like countless ants biting his heart, itchy and painful. This kind of pain was even unbearable for ordinary adults, let alone a twelve-year-old child.

"Well, well, well, kid, you shouldn't be too happy too early. You should know that you are only a First Grade mage who is only able to control the elements and cannot freely use them, so you are still very weak right now."

"Although many mages could only perceive one element in their life, there were also some geniuses who could perceive two or more elements. You should know that there was never a lack of geniuses in this world." Liu Kuilin coughed and then stroked his white beard. He did not want Li Kong to be self-conceited and slack off in his cultivation.

Suppressing his excitement, Li Kong asked, "Grandpa, how can I control these elements and use them to fight?"

"The elements are an energy form. When you can sense them, it means that you have the right to use them, which is exactly the level of the First Grade mage. When you master the elements, you can release them outside of your body to form magic skill, which is the level of a Second Grade mage. And a Third Grade mage can release even more powerful skills. As for the Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, or even Twelfth Grade, you will know in the future. Knowing too much now won't be of much benefit to your later cultivation." Liu Kuilin explained.

Looking at the serious face of Li Kong, the old man nodded with gratification and continued, "In a battle, you need to learn to make use of the elements reasonably. You have five elements, which is your advantage to win victory. Water restricts fire, fire restricts gold, gold restricts wood, wood restricts earth, earth restricts water, these are the order of restriction among five elements.

Water produces wood, wood produces fire, fire produces earth, earth produces metal, metal produces water, these are the order of production among five elements. You have to remember these orders properly. When facing enemies, you need to use them flexibly.

If you want to master these elements, you need to improve your perception. That way, you will be able to sense the elements more easily, and then you will be able to release even more energy. From tomorrow on, you will have to start a new cultivation.

"Grandpa, I still have to go to school tomorrow. What about my parents?" Upon hearing that the old man wanted him to continue his cultivation, he immediately asked worriedly.

"You can rest assured that someone will arrange these small matters properly. You just stay reassured and cultivate with me." Liu Kuilin stroked his beard out of habit. "Go back tonight and bid farewell to them. We will start to implement your cultivation plan tomorrow morning."

The night quietly approached, and a pleasantly surprised voice came from a grand house. "Kong'er, you have become a mage?"

"Yes, there was a mage who took me as his disciple, so he asked me to learn magic." Li Kong nodded, looking at his father's excited expression.

Then, a ball of flame slowly rose up from his palm.

Watching the flame in Li Kong's palm, Li Zicheng really couldn't imagine how his son suddenly became a mage.

Dai Rongmei had yet to recover from her shock. She just stared blankly at the flame in Li Kong's palm. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something. However, words failed her.

"Mom and Dad, I have another thing to tell you." Looking at his parents' shocked expression, Li Kong said.

"What is it?" Li Zicheng asked, first recovering from his shock.

"I won't go to school from now on." Li Kong replied after thinking for a while.

"Why?" Dai Rongmei asked.

"Since Kong'er has become a mage, he must concentrate on his cultivation. Isn't it time-wasting for Kong'er to go to school?" Before Li Kong could answer, his father, Li Zicheng, rushed to answer.

"Right, that's right. Our Kong'er is an adult and has his own thoughts." Hearing her husband's words, Dai Rongmei immediately nodded to agree.

"Dad, Mom, I'm going to cultivate with my master recently. I might not be back soon." Looking at their excited expressions, Li Kong said reluctantly.

"Well, Kong'er, you can make your own decisions in the future. There are not many mages in Yangzhou City, and my son has become one of them. We are proud of you." Hearing Li Kong's words, Li Zicheng agreed delightedly.

Because he knew that once Li Kong became a mage, he would not be able to stay in this little Yangzhou City. Rather than staying in this place full of chaos and crisis, he must go to a bigger and safer place.

For Li Zicheng, it did not matter where he was. As long as his wife and son could live a stable life, he would be very satisfied.

"Kong'er, you must be careful when you are out in the future. Take care of your safety. You are only twelve years old now. Don't be too harsh on yourself." Dai Rongmei warned softly. In her opinion, regardless of whether the young man in front of him was a mage or not, he was always her son.

She wanted her son to stand out. But she did not want her child to get hurt or wronged.

"Don't worry, I will take good care of myself." Listening to his parents' advice, Li Kong was also moved, feeling a little choked up.

"Alright, alright. Why are you crying? Hurry up and get ready. You don't have to think about anything else." Li Zicheng's said, his eyes were also red.
