3. Tomorrow does no wait for the enemies

Inside a tent bathed by the moonlight that was slowly getting rid of the black clouds, two female voices talked with a certain palpable tension.

- The time has come - said the girl with black eyes and a serene countenance despite the situation, but not much could be seen beyond the side of her white face with a grayish tint, her sensual mouth, her stubborn nose, her black eyes as well as the locks of her hair that fell down the side of her target neck.

-Yes - said the other woman beside him also showing part of his face where what shone most in the light were his light green eyes well outlined with kajal and the black hair curled along what would be colored stones on the side of his neck where chains adorned it - you should not wait any longer. Julio Cesar pursues his targets relentlessly without giving a truce.

The girl who looked much younger than the woman sighed as she said -I know it well- and looked her in the eyes -he won't give up Soraia until he has her for himself.

- Mi hijo tampoco (my son much less).

Soraia and Amy were already at home in their hostess Soraia's elegant bedroom with red and white wood furniture and glass and flowers in the same shade. Soraia was wearing red thong

in a full-length mirror on the inside of one of her wardrobe doors, choosing a sweater while listening to Sepultura.

Suddenly inside the mirror a white smoke appeared and gradually took the form of a beautiful girl with long curly black hair and big sad black eyes and wearing a long white dress with a generous neckline.

Soraia was so wrapped up in her nightgown that she hadn't noticed the 'ghost' inside her mirror until...

-Soraia- she called in a whisper that echoed, and then Soraia jumped up, shivering from head to toe, and screamed, her eyes as black as the ones staring back at her.

The sweaters that Soraia was wearing fell down at her feet and so frightened was she that it took her a while to realize that she was naked from the waist up so she quickly covered her breasts.

The girl is an old acquaintance of ours who goes by the name of Miranda. She was Julio Cesar's companion, the first vampire transformed not by the bat but by man.

-Don't be afraid. I just want to help you.

Soraia looked like a statue, no movement, no voice, and even her eyes were motionless, staring at the thing inside her mirror...and talking...to her.

FOR HORROR!

-Listen to me carefully. Stay. Away. From Julio Cesar.

Tears began to roll from Soraia's eyes as she prayed that Amy would come out of the shower soon to pinch her and make her wake up from that nightmare.

-Death is Julius Cesar's companion,-Miranda continued, but Soraia could hear her in the back of her mind:

-Don't get caught up in his charm.

Soraia's legs could no longer support the weight of her body and, between tears and shaking her head, she fell to the ground.

What in God's name is that thing inside my mirror? I never believed in ghosts, but what is it then?

Suddenly the bathroom door opened and a dark pink Amy wrapped in a terry towel came out humming.

Miranda then said -I won't abandon you- and disappeared into the smoke as if nothing had been there.

-Amy was startled to see her friend on her knees crying and ran to her side asking what had happened, but Soraia only asked -Hold me - and so she did, stroking her friend's hair and looking everywhere suspicious.

In the forest amidst the shadows the stranger's beautiful green eyes shone and now he was without the mask showing his face sculpted by God with that beautiful mouth drawn millimeter by millimeter, the strong chin with a thin beard and the light brown hair illuminated by the moon with stubborn locks waving on his forehead.

-¿Que provocas en mí Soraia?(What do you do with me?)- she asked as she looked at the little bit of the moon's face that was seeping through the palm leaves, oh, and with that deep Spanish accent...

Suddenly a noise different than usual to the ears of his kind made him alert, his eyes narrowing and searching for the one he already knew who it was.

-Come out of the shadows, Julio Cesar.

With grace a figure fell from the top of the palm tree in a crouch as he rested his fingertips on the ground and stood up all pompous as he whispered-Augustus-that was the name of the stranger who ignored the greeting.

-How long, old friend- he used debauchery of course, for the last thing they would be was friends. Maybe not even if they were the same species.

-Not long enough for me to forget your murderous face," Augusto shot back as he assessed Julio Cesar's physical expressions to find something of Soraia in him.

To his relief there was only the smell of her subtle touch and nothing else.

-Uh, el lobo esta agresivo esta hermosa noche(uh, the wolf is angry tonight -  Julio Cesar sneered as he pointed to the beautiful night sky and tried to imitate Augusto's Spanish accent horribly, he was Romanian after all. Far away, right?

-Let's get to the point -he then nodded but without losing his cynical smile- what do you want with Soraia?

-So you've already met her?

Julio Cesar had no idea how much, after all, they had already exchanged a kiss while he had experienced nothing more than the warmth of the touch on her skin.

-Don't play dumb, I know you know that.

Julio Cesar smiled broadly as he said, "The blood of the wolves is starting to boil in your veins, isn't that right, friend?

-You have no idea," he replied with a sexy, provocative smile that made his light green eyes turn yellow like living flames inside his pupils. Julio Cesar would never allow himself to be left behind, least of all by Augustus. So, like him, he made his already black eyes from birth acquire the blood ruby in the center so characteristic of his kind.

- Whatever you want with Soraia, I'm going to stop you-I warned him, after all, he didn't face years of loneliness and war to get to her only to have some nosy dentist steal her away from him.

-You know," he smiled cunningly, "I don't want anything from her.

Augusto frowned, his head pounding with mistrust, "I want what she can be.

-Miranda. So it's all because of his past mistress.

This wretch wants to bring Miranda and her soul into Soraia's being.

Augustus growled, but it was not just any growl, but the growl that comes from inside his soul.

From inside the wolf's soul.

-She's mine, Augusto -said Julio Cesar, fully armed for combat- and I'll kill anyone who tries to take her away from me.

Augusto was frustrated at the moment, for he turned into a bat and fled. But next time...

-But next time... -Augustus growled, turning into a beautiful giant black wolf with glossy fur, and angrily dashed into the forest, his eyes of fire disappearing over there.

Now bathed and calmer, Soraia rested her head on Amy's lap as she stroked her damp hair.

-Soraia, tell me what happened- she asked.

-I don't know if it was real or just my mind," she said as she turned on Amy's lap and faced each other, "but a girl covered in smoke spoke to me from inside my mirror.

Natural reaction; Amy laughed, but soon pulled herself together as her friend was too serious - sorry.

-It's okay-she said as she stood up-I'd laugh too if it was the other way around-and took a deep breath as she ran her hand through her hair.

-But what did she say to you?

-Same thing as that stranger with the green eyes.

-To get away from Julio Cesar.

Soraia nodded.

Amy huffed, as if to say,

'Well, that's it for good.

A knock on the door caught their attention. A beautiful woman with black hair tied up in a loose bun and mesmerizing blue eyes came in, carrying a tray with two glasses of juice and two sandwiches, sayingHello, girls, are you hungry?

-Hey, Mom.

-Hey Aunt Katrina.

Explaining: Yes, the woman is Soraia's mother, but she is not Amy's blood aunt -only by adoption- since the families have known each other since the mothers were children and the friendship extended to the daughters.

-And where is Dad?

-He sends them kisses," she said as she placed the tray on a small table near the window where, incredible as it may seem, the sun was already shining and they hadn't even slept yet, "and he has just left for work. Now eat up and go to bed," he said shamelessly, "after all, it was Saturday and they had no classes, and few are the ones who work in the morning like Soraia's father.

Marcus hurriedly leaves his room, putting on his black leather jacket over his white shirt and heading towards Brenda's room, for he needed to tell someone what he had discovered and how he only trusted her there.

Brenda was combing her long reddish brown hair when a knock at the door made her look away from the mirror saying come in and through it she saw a very agitated Marcus come up saying Rachel is back and wants revenge.

Brenda left her duties and faced Marcus calmly, for she already suspected Lais' secrets - her soul is incarnated in Lais' body, isn't it?

-Did you know?

-I didn't.

-And why didn't you tell me?

-Because I wasn't sure and I didn't want to put her on notice that I was suspicious of her.

Marcus sighed and let himself fall onto Brenda's bed. "She still wants me," he stared at Brenda, who smiled in a motherly way, "and she's willing to do anything.

-And your concern is for Amy, isn't it?

-She walked over to him, smiling, and sat down next to him and said:

-There are two feelings you can't hide: hate and love.

-If only you could see Lais's face.

-We'll take care of her,- promissed.
