Anna turned to the kids and said, "Did Uncle Clayton tell you we are going out for dinner today?"

"Really?" Jayden purred in excitement.

"No, that is going to be fun," Jasmine grinned.

"Can we go to the game center too?" James asked, almost jumping out of his seat.

"If you finish breakfast quietly, you just might get your wish," Anna said, glancing over at Nat.

Nat got the signal and grinned at the kids as she said, "Let's see who will be the first then."

With the kids distracted, Anna stood up from the dining table and hurried up the stairs to Clayton.

"Where is she?" Anna asked.

"In her room," Claton mumbled.

There was a tense silence in the room as both cousins stared each other down like mountain cats. Their breaths came in short form from the anger they tried to control. “F*ck!” Gideon shouted, breaking the silence as he moved away from the table. “I have no time for your childish antics, Gideon.” Simon stated. “Go f*ck yourself, Simon. By God, you are going to regret doing this; you are f*cking going to regret it, you f*cking piece of sh*t!” Gideon shouted, Simon shrugged, a wicked glint in his eyes as he said, “I’d love to see you try.” “You moved my father from his position to head another subsidiary? My father, Simon, not some fr*aking executive!” Gideon snapped. Simon raked a hand through his hair in frustration as he closed his eyes and sighed deeply. He didn’t want to get pulled into this, but he was beginning to lose it. “Why the h*ll can Uncle not be moved? Who else is worth enough to oversee a subsidiary?” Simon asked. “A f*cking executive or manager, anyone, you f*cki

Anna paused for a minute, feeling Shelly's hesitation, waiting for her to speak, but the line was silent."Shelly? Are you there?" Anna asked softly."Yes, I am Anna. Hmmm, I was going to say, did you know Lily had an SOS alert from you on her phone that night?" Shelly asked.Anna closed her eyes and rubbed her temple as she responded, "Yes, I do; I sent it.""I don't know what happened, but can you at least tell the detective why you sent it?" Shelly asked."I… hmm, it's not really about that night, I uhmm," Anna stuttered."I know it's hard, but we could not ask you that day since you had just returned to help. Anna, please," Shelly pleaded.Anna took a deep breath as the thought of that night flashed through her mind. Despite her revenge plan, recounting what happened between her and Simon was the best of the things she wanted to do."It would mean a lot to the case," Shelly muttered.Making up her mind, Anna responded, "Humm, I will speak with the detective; do not worry, Shelly."

Anna didn't understand his words as she stood there staring at him in a puzzle."What do we have to check?" Anna asked.Michael hissed a sigh from his lips as he replied, "You'll understand when we get there, Anna."He turned and walked back to the building, leaving Anna no choice but to follow him."Hi, can I see the manager of the resort?" Michael asked at the front desk.Whatever it was that was going on, as long as it shed light on the situation, Anna decided to tag along."Okay, please, one minute," the lady at the front desk answered. She spoke on the phone for a while before ending the call and smiling up at Michael."You can go up; his office is on the first floor." She responded."Alright," Michael said, nodding at her in thanks.Anna followed him towards the elevator, both of them silent as they rode it up to the first floor. The first level was quiet, with only a few people milling about. Michael led the way to the office, his expression unreadable."Hello, Mr. Gary, I was

The coordinator flipped through the clipboard in his hand and said, “It’s been moved forward. She is now the final speaker for this evening’s session, right after Mr. Gova’s panel.”Michael blinked and said, “Wait, today? I thought her session was supposed to take place tomorrow.”He tried to mask the irritation in his tone, but the look on his face betrayed him.“We are sorry for the inconvenience, but with the increase in last-minute attendees and the need to rebalance the topics by industry sector, the scheduling team made a few adjustments.” The coordinator explained."Are you saying there is no other way for her session to remain on tomorrow's calendar?" Michael asked."I'm afraid not, Mr. Gary," the coordinator replied.Michael stood there, deep in thought for a few seconds as he tried to mentally see how possible it was for Anna to present that same day.“If you could please help speak with Ms. Howard, we would be most grateful. We know she is here as a representative for the G

The eye contact, the narrowing glint in his eyes, had lasted for a split second. So fast that Anna wasn’t sure it had actually happened. The entire hall went up in applause as Simon walked over to the podium. He cleared his throat, trying to regain his calm after the text message he just received.Mr. Gova shook him before handing over the mic to him.“Hello everyone, it feels so great to be here with you all.” Simon said, smiling as the cheers and applause quieted as he began his speech, his voice strong and commanding.“Now, if you ask me what the essence of telecoms is, I would say it's all about connecting people and enabling communication across vast distances. It's about bridging gaps and bringing the world closer together through technology." Simon's words resonated with the audience, who listened intently to his every word.As Simon rounded up, the applause that followed was double the one that welcomed him. Anna sat there, staring at him, seeing the man she once loved. The on

Back in town, Steve drove into the parking lot of Simon’s tech team. He put off the ignition and walked straight for the elevator. As soon as the doors opened, he saw Hillary standing there, already waiting for him.“Another attack?” Steve asked.“You just need to see this.” Hillary replied. They both walked down to the lower level of the room. Zack and Viola were busy typing away at their keyboard.“Here, what do you see?” Hillary asked.Steve stared at the screen for a couple of seconds and said, “Why is the locator in so many places?”“Exactly, we used the same configuration like you mentioned the last time you were able to pinpoint the location, but now we can’t.” Hillary explained.“There are over twenty IP addresses right now, and we can’t say exactly where the attack itself is coming from.” Zack stated."It looks like the attack today is more complicated than it has been.” Hillary added.“Can we try to filter out the IP addresses that overlap or are used to route so we can narr
