Roxy’s POV

I was trying so hard to shut down the picture Sarah had planted in my head.

Aaron West.

Sex.

God, why would she say that to me?

She’s my professor for crying out loud. I am not supposed to have a picture of her husband in the most indecent way plastered in my brain, yet here it is. All thanks to her.

No wonder Rosie thinks she’s creepy. I mean, who does that? Who casually drops something like that into a conversation with a student?

“He’s a god in that department,” she said, like it was just some fun little fact.

Yikes.

Now it was stuck in my head like gum in hair. I had to shake it off before I lost my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about him—his voice, his hands, his everything. Ugh.

Focus, Roxy. Focus.

I still had another problem to fix, and that problem’s name was Nick Burke.

The sun was already low when I got to the football field. The sky looked like a painting—orange, pink, soft purple—and the long shadows stretched across the grass. Nick was on the field, practicing

Roxy’s POVThe moment I settled into my cubicle, my eyes automatically drifted toward Aaron West’s office. It was impossible not to.His desk, framed by the big glass wall, gave me a full, clear view of him.As always, Mr. Machine was buried in paperwork — head down, sleeves rolled up, all focus.I absently stuck a pencil between my teeth, chewing the end as my eyes shamelessly drank him in.Honestly, Aaron West in a white shirt should be illegal.About last night?Last night was... different. It was just the two of us. All night. No distractions. No Sarah. No rules. For one breathless second, it felt like something cracked open between us.Something real.Something dangerous. The silent stares when neither of us said a word. The way his hand brushed against mine when we both reached for the same folder. The way his voice dipped low when he said my name—Roxette—like it belonged to him.I felt it.And I know he did too.Because last night… he wasn’t that good at hiding it.When he insi

Roxy’s POVThe office was practically a ghost town.Desks empty, lights off, and not a single voice echoing through the halls.Everyone had packed up for the day—everyone except us.Aaron West and me.I leaned back in my chair, clutching the armrests like the floor might disappear under me.My office. End of day.I wiped my hands on my skirt, trying to steady my breathing. Was this about last night? Was I too forward?Shit. You did too much Roxy.I am overthinking this. It’s no big deal. Probably.Maybe he just wanted to talk about the research project.Maybe I made some mistake. Maybe he—No.I knew it wasn’t that.Because when I glanced up, I caught him looking at me.Not a casual glance. Not a boss-type glance. It was a look that burned straight through the glass wall between us and set my whole body on fire.Kissed?Or fired?I dropped my gaze immediately, pretending like I hadn’t seen anything. And then—just as I was about to look away—the intercom buzzed, nearly sending me into

Roxy’s POVIt felt like the longest day ever — between Aaron West and our new secret... arrangement — but tired or not, I had to show up.I had a date.Well... a hangout. With Nick. The evening breeze hit my face as I climbed up the bleachers. The stadium was pretty much empty, a few people scattered here and there.I spotted Nick right away, sitting on the third row, hunched over something in his lap. He wore a gray hoodie that looked a size too big, like he could get lost in it, but somehow it made him look even broader. His dark jeans were faded just right, and he had those classic white sneakers that always looked better a little dirty. When he saw me, he stood up quick, that big goofy grin lighting up his face."Roxy Bennett, you came," he said, like he honestly didn’t believe I would."Of course I did," I said, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. "I'm not in the habit of disappointing people twice.""Good for me, then," he smiled, and for a second, I forgot how complicated my

Aaron’s POVTwirling her ID card in my hand, I leaned back in my chair. Through the glass wall, I looked at her cubicle. Empty. At this time of day? Weird.A twist of curiosity grabbed me. Where the hell was she?Since the day she first walked into my office, Roxette Bennett had been a puzzle. Some days, she looked like the most ordinary girl alive—tight pineapple ponytail, boring business clothes. But every now and then, she would walk in with her hair loose, a little cleavage peeking out, and suddenly it was like the whole room changed. It messed with me more than I wanted to admit. She was awkward. Nervous. But there was this sultry way she moved that didn’t match her shy eyes. I could still see it—how she fumbled with her pen, how she blushed when I leaned too close. She had a crush on me. That much was obvious. And I? I was supposed to find that shit annoying. I usually did.But not with her.Maybe because she was actually good at her job. Maybe because she cared about the SPECTR

Roxy’s POVWalking out of Aaron’s office, I could still feel his presence lingering—his scent, his intense gray eyes, and that commanding aura. Tonight, something was different; his eyes held a hint of vulnerability that was rare for him. I could almost believe there was a crack in his fortress of composure. Maybe it was the surprise or perhaps something deeper. I hoped it was more.I shook off the lingering effect of Aaron West as I stepped out into the evening air. There was Nick, leaning casually against his sleek black sports car. His dark hair was perfectly tousled, and he looked effortlessly handsome in dark jeans and a crisp white shirt. His intense gaze was locked on me, making me feel as if I were the only girl in the world.“What are you doing here, Nick?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady as I walked toward him. His presence always stirred emotions I wasn’t ready to face.Nick’s lips curled into a half-smile, though his eyes revealed a hint of stress. “I finally stood

Roxy’s POV Rachael touched my hand gently. “If you ever need help, just ask.” Her sincere eyes made me want to pinch myself. “Thank you,” I replied, taking another drink to steady myself. I needed that drink more than I realized. “See? It’s not so bad,” Rachael encouraged with a wink. I forced a smile, but the drink slipped from my lips. Before I could reach for it, Nick’s thumb swooped in, brushing against my lips, wiping away the spill with a touch so tender it made my breath catch. That simple touch—why did it make my chest tighten like that? Rachael let out an exaggerated sigh. “That was so hot, Nick. Ask her out already!” “Rachael, stop it,” Alex teased. “What? They’re hot!” Rachael said unabashedly. Nick and I locked eyes, and the world around us seemed to disappear. The connection between us was undeniable, but my thoughts were tangled with revenge, Aaron, and the complications of my life. Why did this have to be so complicated? Why couldn’t it just be easy—for once? F

Roxy’s POVI was in the middle of work, buried in research, the last few days had been chaotic. Between school assignments and the firm, I barely had time to breathe, let alone eat. I hadn’t even seen Rosie in days, but thank God I had less than an hour left before I could get off work. My fingers danced across the keyboard, clicking furiously when my phone dinged, snapping me out of my trance.Shit! A message from Aaron’s number. His number was tattooed in my brain.**Meet me on the Tarmac now** The message said.Ever since that night with the coffee spill and my small black dress, it had been radio silence from his end, I hardly even got to see him at the firm, I would only catch a glimpse of him before he was gone again and now out of nowhere—a message. My nerves spiraled out of control. My eyes darted around the busy room, the strange sense of being watched—like a guilty child trying not to get caught. But wait, how did he get my number?— He’s your boss, Roxy. He must have looke

Roxy’s POVHe took the file back, his eyes scanning over my signature before he closed it with a snap. Then, without missing a beat, he reached into his sleek leather briefcase and produced a crisp sheet of paper.“Here,” he said, his voice as smooth as the polished surface of his desk.I took the paper, and as my eyes landed on the amount printed on the cheque, they widened in shock. It was far beyond anything I had imagined. Before I could even formulate the burning question on my tongue, he spoke, his tone authoritative and assured. “That’s your first cheque.”“Cheque?” My brows knitted together. “What’s it for? I haven’t even done anything yet, Mr. West.”You will be getting paid for every extra hour you spend with me and every task you complete. Consider this an advance payment,” he said, leaning back in his chair, his gaze never leaving mine.“Mr. West, this is totally unnecessary,” I protested, though the temptation of that insane amount was undeniable. Nothing screamed seductive, revenge-driven temptress about to set her boss on fire.Crap.Why didn’t I just tell him?“Sir, I don’t own a single decent dress.”Too late for that now.My phone rang, vibrating under a pile of failed outfits. I dug through like a woman searching for treasure and finally found it.Sarah.My stomach flipped. Should I pick up?I hesitated too long, and it rang again. Okay. Okay.“Hi Roxy, your best girl here!” Her voice was a literal sunbeam.“Hi Sarah.”Wow. I didn’t know my voice could sound that stressed until she said—“You don’t sound good, Roxy. What’s up?”I pressed my lips together and finally admitted it. “I’m in the middle of a crisis.”“What crisis? Mr. “I-own-every-air-you-breathe.”He was on a call, pacing across the room, voice deep and rough like a devil whispering in a dark room. His tone wasn't loud, but it filled the room. I swear even the walls leaned in to listen. But it wasn’t just the room.It was me too.I was completely tuned into him.I stood still, trying not to stare, but failing miserably. Those black pants hugged his thighs too well. I was biting my lip but ofcourse he couldn’t see. I tilted my head, tracking him as he moved.No. I wasn’t tracking. • Falling For My Billionaire Revenge Daddy   CHAPTER 50: All The Way

Roxy’s POVCatherine Bennette, my overbearing mother, and Rosie, my thorn-in-the-side twin, sat across from me at the breakfast table. Catherine was dressed in her usual prim attire, a pastel blouse neatly tucked into slacks. Her concern showed in the way she nervously folded and unfolded her napkin, her eyes darting toward me every few moments. Rosy, clad in her familiar denim jacket and plain tee, looked like she was bracing herself to play mediator in a battle that hadn’t yet begun—but we both knew it was coming. I sat there in a haze, pushing my eggs around on my plate without much enthusiasm, half-present, half-lost, my mind replayed scenes from yesterday—Aaron and I at Club Virgo, his firm grip on my wrist as he led me to his room. The vivid red walls—it takes a certain kind of man to choose that color. A man with fire steaming beneath the surface. Aaron had that fire; I could feel it come off him every second I spent close to him. Sarah had always said he was a good lover.

  • Falling For My Billionaire Revenge Daddy   CHAPTER 49: I Want More

Roxy’s POV I dropped the file onto the table, standing with eager eyes. The entire place smelled like him—strong, masculine, with a whiff of something dark and forbidden. Of course, he owned it. Everything about this space screamed Aaron West. My legs moved on their own, leading me to the sleek brown shelving of his closet. I pulled it open, my head falling backwards as I inhale the scent that greets me, my fingers itched, trembling as I decided what to touch first. Stop! A voice inside me warned. But there was no way I was stopping now. I ran my fingers along the lineup of crisp shirts and suits, unable to resist the urge to pick out one. It was a deep gray shirt, just like his eyes. I brought it to my face, inhaling deeply, the scent of him filling my lungs, making my head spin. Something else caught my eye, and I carefully replaced the shirt. It was a journal, black and heavy. I lifted it, my fingers tracing its edges. What secrets could be hidden inside? I imagined him

Roxy’s POVI had made a big mistake. I called him by his first name. That was the one rule he had made clear—and I broke it.His eyes darkened, and for a moment, he looked truly scary. He leaned in closer, and his voice dropped.“I expect you to always be professional with me, Ms. Bennette. Just because we have an arrangement doesn’t mean you’re anything more than my employee. And I’m your boss. Do you understand, Ms. Bennette?”I swallowed hard. “Uh—yes, I understand, Mr. West,” I said quickly.“This is the first and the last time,” he said.“Yes, Mr. West,” I nodded. He leaned back again, putting just enough space between us to make me miss the closeness. I hated how his distance made me ache. He reached for his briefcase, and my eyes followed the movement instinctively.Stop staring, Roxy. Get it together. But my mind betrayed me, wandering to thoughts I shouldn’t be having—fantasies that didn’t belong in a room like this, with a man like him. What’s wrong with you, Roxy? I scolde

  • Falling For My Billionaire Revenge Daddy   CHAPTER 47: Never say never Mr. West

Roxy’s POV Stepping into the club—club Virgo—Austin had called it, my heart pounded like a drum. The dim lighting, the scent of expensive cigars, polished mahogany furniture, expensive perfumes. A real gentleman’s club—It smelled like power, secrets, and sin. As Aaron led me inside, I took in the place. Tall, dark wooden panels lined the walls, and the carpet underfoot was so thick it muffled the sound of our footsteps. Crystal chandeliers hung low, casting sparkling reflections that danced across the room like whispers of temptation. I caught sight of men laughing, cigars in hand, and women who looked like they belonged on magazine covers draped over the plush seats. My nerves tingled with every step, my skin prickling under the intense gaze of the other patrons. They knew who Aaron was—But they didn’t know me, and I felt their eyes on me, questioning, probing, wondering. “Hello, Mr. West,” a sultry voice broke through my thoughts. The front desk lady, stood as soon as she sa

Aaron’s POVWe arrived at Belvedere, and I found myself chatting with the concierge about getting us a table. It was all so last minute that I hadn't made a reservation, and Belvedere was strictly by reservation only. But, given that I was a regular, they were kind enough to bend the rules for me.“This way, sir,” the concierge said, leading us to our table. I turned to look at Ms. Bennette, whose eyes were wide with excitement as she took in the surroundings. There was something about that eager look in her eyes that I liked—young and full of life. When our eyes met, she quickly forced a smile and tried to compose herself, like she was trying to impress me or something. I couldn’t help but enjoy the way she followed behind me, almost like she was my little darling. We settled into a private area with a perfect view of the ocean. I always loved the ocean view, how the water moved, and the gentle waves that washed over the shore. It was calming, and in moments like this, my mind muddle

Roxy’s POV So I am right back at that night again. Lucas lies on the asphalt, his body crumpled and surrounded by a pool of dark, crimson blood. The car is gone, the black phantom that vanished into the night. My legs were shaking as I ran to him. A scream caught in my throat. His eyes… they trembled with a fear that split my heart in two. I dropped to my knees beside him. My hands were shaking as I pressed them to his wounds, desperate, useless. Trying to stop the bleeding. “Lucas, stay with me,” I begged, choking on my tears. “I don’t want to die, Ro-x,” he cried, voice wet with blood. I could see it—he was pleading. Silently begging for help I couldn’t give. I shook my head. Tears pouring. “No, no… you’re gonna be okay. Just stay with me.” But I didn’t believe it. Not for a second. The color in his eyes was fading. Then he reached for me. Clutched my shirt with the last of his strength, fingers digging in like he couldn’t hold on to life any longer. “Roxy…” He could

I stared out the window, my grip on the mug so tight I felt it might shatter. There he was again—the guy who picked her up that night, dropping her off again. Nick! She had called him, I felt stupid for even remembering the name. He was leaning in close, his eyes devouring her. The thought of him touching her, undressing her, twisted something deep inside me. What’s happening to me? Why am I reacting this way? I’ve seen plenty of women—more attractive, more experienced. Why should this naive college girl, my wife’s student, stir such a reaction? He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering longer than necessary. The intent was clear; he wanted her in his bed. And she—she just sat there grinning like an innocent little brat. And all I could think about was last night. The way she looked standing at the door after helping my drunk wife out of the car. The way she looked at me— Like she knew. That I was fucking burning for her.Damn it.I hated how close he was t
