Chapter 22: The End of Curiosity

Kazamir's POV

I sat at the table with Drustian, gobbling up food, and drinking up wine in a frenzy. The new moon is nigh, calling unto me to pay my debt. Blood. My body craved it. I needed blood to douse my raging nerves. The witch had told me the consequences of my greed would far outweigh the power it would give me, but I was too adamant to listen.

Too greedy to turn away from becoming the most powerful Alpha in the realm.

Time was when I thought a werewolf was all it took to be poewrful, until I saw a were-lion take down a company of werewolves without sustaining more than a scratch that healed up like a mirage. He was frightfully invisible. Right there and then, I coveted the power, working out all schemes to be extraordinary.
