chapter twenty one

Davina woke up remembering what today was. She could already sense it from her room. The noise that came from the preparations woke her up and she was tempted to step out from her room to see what was happening but she remembered that she was meant to be pretending to be sick.

She stayed on her bed, trying to fall asleep again but to no avail.

Then she just resolved to remain on her bed because she didn't want to get caught roaming around her room by Calvin because a sick person was supposed to be too weak to do that.

She turned restlessly on the bed for several minutes until she gave up. She was done pretending to be sick, at least not when she had nobody to watch her.

She pressed the button and her omegas came answering.

"Dispatch a sentinel wolf to keep watch at my door" she said and the omegas nodded their reply and went off.

She told the sentinel, once he arrived, to inform her if Calvin was coming to see her. Now all she had to do was busy herself with anything until Calvin depa
