CHAPTER SIXTY SIX

Even I couldn’t explain the sudden rush of emotions that flooded through me as I stood by the window in Lesley’s room, staring through it, into the premises. The emotion was what I could describe as fear.

A little movement behind me reminded me of where I was and brought me back to reality.

A soft sound followed, then footsteps and after a while, Lesley was standing behind me, his arms wrapped around me from behind.

I drew in a sharp breath as he rested his head on my shoulder from behind and I felt his soft, warm breath tickling my neck.

There was a slight tingle in my nerves as I felt his warmth begin to overshadow me.

I breathed in sharply and gulped down hard to get rid of the other emotion still lurking around.

“You seem scared.” Lesley finally voiced, startling me as his hand went around me even more securely.

I kept forgetting he was an Alpha and possessed the ability to sense my emotions even when I try to hide them.

    CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREEThird POVHours crawled by in the concrete prison, each minute stealing more hope from the trapped warriors.
