His rejection

“You licked her?” I can hear the soft murmurings of Doctor Wessex’s voice as I start to come to.

“Of course I did, I needed to get the rogue’s saliva out of her system!” Lance retorts back.

“She has alpha blood Lance, she would have healed nicely herself!”

“What do you mean?” Lance’s voice sounds confused.

“Your saliva being in her system…might encourage the bond more!”

“Well that’s only a good thing right?”

“Yes but Aida has her barriers up for a reason Lance! She’s been through a lot!” Doctor Wessex gently responds as he touches my ankle. The touch causes me to snap my eyes open from the pain.

“Aida…you’re with us!” The good Doctor smiles at me, a knowing smile. He knew I was listening in.

“Where’s Colette? Is she okay?”

“Ah Colette and baby are doing fine. Nothing a day or two of bed rest won’t solve. Mav is also back to a full bill of health. It’s you we were worried about!” He looks at me from above his glasses.
