Chapter Fifteen

When I wake up, the sun had already set and the light was streaming in my room though the thin curtains. Declan actually stayed and I could see him lying perfectly still next to me. I stared at his face for awhile, letting the realization of the night settle in all over again.

"How do you feel," he asked, sleep still on his lips.

"I feel like I can't even begin to process what happened. I have only ever felt your emotions, but last night I felt his, and it was overwhelming," I say as tears start to fill my eyes.

"You can feel my emotions?" He asks, shocked.

"Yes, I have always been able to since I met you," I mutter.

"I see. That might be one of the benefits of being a White Wolf. Although I could hear your thoughts before the mind-link, some still slipped through. I'm not sure about the feelings though," he says wryly.

I don't respond as he takes my hand and raises it to his cheek.
