Chapter 2: Making the Best of a Mistake

The next morning, at ten o'clock.

After the rain, the sun shone brightly.

Vivien Eipstein was woken up by a series of urgent knocks on the door. When she groggily came to, Herbert Grantham was already out of bed, lighting a cigarette, his indifferent gaze falling upon her.

"Are those people outside arranged by you? Reporters?"

"I don't know, maybe my fiancé misses me after not seeing me all night," she said with a sweet, insincere tone.

Herbert Grantham frowned slightly and threw one of his white shirts onto Vivien Eipstein's face.

"Wear this first."

As he spoke, he strode to the door and opened it, revealing a crowd of people standing outside, their faces filled with shock, anger, and hostility.

Herbert Grantham didn't stop them; he let them rush in, their expressions twisted with rage.

"Whore! Do you have any shame?!" The first to curse was Vivien Eipstein's own mother.

Although they were biological mother and daughter, in Ning Mother's eyes, Hannah Eipstein, who had been with her for over twenty years, was closer to her heart.

At that moment, Hannah Eipstein was hiding behind Ning Mother, her mouth agape in disbelief: "Sister, today is your wedding day with Huaiyuan. How could you do something so despicable?!"

Also present were the elderly matriarch of the Fu family and Raymond Grantham, whose face had turned ashen since he entered, unable to speak for a long time from sheer fury.

Hannah Eipstein kept adding fuel to the fire, and Raymond Grantham, feeling his male pride threatened, moved forward to grab Vivien Eipstein by the neck: "Shameless!"

Before he could touch her, he heard a light cough from Herbert Grantham.

Senior Mrs. Grantham was also present, and he asked her to bear witness.

In a moment of quick thinking, Ning Mother, remembering the tearful face of her beloved daughter Hannah Eipstein, grabbed Senior Mrs. Grantham: "This marriage was arranged by my late mother-in-law. Senior Mrs. Grantham furrowed her brows.
