I was so focused on what was going on. I looked at mom for an answer but she just shrugged at me. The old couple sat on both ends of the table while the gorgeous lady that looked the same as my age sat parallel to Vance.

"Oh, hi Hans!" The lady greeted before she smiled so sweetly at Vance. "Hi, Vance, surprise!" she said excitedly.

Vance just nodded. I looked down at his hands on his lap and he was gripping his knuckles hard. Seriously, what was with them?

"And who is she?" The lady raised his brow at me.

"Beatriz, I told you before we arrived, she's Franklin's stepdaughter, Sofia Sulivan."

"Oh, I see." She shrugged before she faked a smile. "Hi, Sofia, nice to meet you."

Franklin cleared his throat. "Sofia, this is mister and misis Keating---"

"Oh just call me Pia."

"Call me Benedict," the old man said.

"And this is Beatriz, their lovely daughter," Franklin added.
