~Serena~

The place where Declan was held up is in the middle of the city, and I couldn’t exactly run here on my wolf’s form, hence needing Cora’s help to drive me here.

We sat inside her Yaris, looking over ‘Dream Plaza’, a three-star hotel in The City of Brille. ‘Dream Plaza’ in cursive writing glowed above the twenty-story structure, its gray walls, huge glass windows illuminated by bright yellow lights. The hotel was hectic, people poured in and out of the lobby, and there were no vacant tables in the restaurant on the ground level. Cars continuously circle the big fountain in front of the hotel, its underwater lights adding an aesthetic to the glass entrance.

“Declan’s inside?” Cora asked, her hands resting on the steering wheel as she scanned the hotel warily. Her green eyes were glowing gold, studying each person seated inside the restaurant.

“Yeah,” I murmured, creating a strategy in my head. Whoever took Declan knew any shifter couldn’t just storm inside that building. The clie

~Serena~Four men lay unconscious on the cold ground. Jared and I ran to where Declan was, hissing as we reached for the rope binding him to the chair, which burned our hands.“It’s laced with aconitum,” Jared murmured, but that wouldn’t stop me from removing Declan from this chair and from this place.I slipped my fingers between the rope and Declan’s skin, my skin sizzling as it burned. With a grunt, I pulled on the rope and successfully removed the ones binding his ankles. Jared did the same to Declan’s hands, bound to the back of the chair. Declan fell forward, and I managed to catch his weight. His skin was burning up and wet with blood.“We need to get him out of here,” Jared stated, but both of us knew we can’t take Declan the way we entered this place. In Declan’s current state, we would attract too much attention, or worse, we could encounter these men's companions along the way.My mind was still conjuring a strategy to get Declan safely out of this hotel when the radio stat

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   44|Find Him

~Serena~Heart galloping in my chest, I rose from the bathtub, water sloshing out at my sudden movement.“Where did he go?” I demanded, stepping out of the tub and leaving a trail of water on the floor as I went to open the drawers and cabinets in the bathroom, searching for a towel. My face turned sour when I opened empty shelves one after another, except for the one under the sink where soaps and cleaning agents were stashed. “Where are the towels?” I pried, the soapy water dripping down my skin.I frowned when I heard nothing but Cora’s controlled breathing. She was so quiet that it felt like I was alone in the bathroom. She was quite the chatterbox moments ago, so I turned around with a raised eyebrow, pursing my lips as I witnessed the glimmer of amusement in her green eyes.“I’m glad I amuse you,” sarcasm laced my tone as I confronted her.She stood up from sitting on the edge of the bathtub, crossing her arms in her middle. A patch of water drenched the back of her dress. “Wh

~Serena~Cora followed me, her fingers brushing my neck as she pulled my hair out of my face. My stomach wrenched, I heaved, and spilled out air from my guts. Pain drew a stripe from my gut through my throat, and I cursed inwardly as I felt another retch building in my belly.Cora pressed a hand on my spine, rubbing my back up and down as she waited for me to empty my stomach’s contents.“This is so embarrassing. I don’t know what’s happening to me,” I murmured, standing straight as I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. Cora didn’t mind that I’m a mess. She looped a hand around my arm and whisked me inside the house. “Don’t worry about it, honey. Let’s get you cleaned up.”Declan and Alpha Oren were nowhere in sight when we walked back into the mansion. The tapping of Cora’s sandals as we headed for the wide staircase filled the mansion. My head reeled as I glanced up at the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The exposed overhead beam on the house became blurry the longer I lo

~Serena~Alpha Seth’s pack shaped their lives coexisting with humans on a daily basis. But as werewolves, there was still this need for each pack member to roam freely in their wolf form, especially during the full moon. Fallenmist pack’s solution to that was to own acres of land at the edge of the city, a safe haven away from the humans’ prying eyes.Declan drove through a metal gate with an arch stating we were about to enter Hawkins’ property. The guards stationed at the guardhouse allowed us entry when they recognized Declan. My shoulders were stiff, worried that they would scent me, until I noticed the bite marks on their necks. They were already mated.“Don’t worry, Seth made sure that all unmated guards would not be around when we arrive,” Declan said, and relief instantly washed over me. At least all I have to worry about now is being with my mate a little while longer inside this car.We took the dirt path lined with towering trees and endless green landscape until a mansion

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   41|You Were Right

~Serena~When we stepped outside, Declan’s car was still revving. He must’ve been too distracted and forgot to turn the engine off earlier.“You two take the car,” Alpha Oren announced, grabbing another set of keys from the keyholder.“You’re not coming with us?” I frowned at him, worry drumming in my chest just thinking of being confined inside the car with Declan again. He smirked and headed for the bike parked side-by-side with Alpha Seth’s car. I thought the Rebel 300 belonged to Clint. He looked like he would maximize the speed of that motorcycle on the highway when he was mad.“I don’t do cars,” Alpha Orean added, throwing a shuddered gaze at Declan’s rental car before climbing on the bike. He slotted the key in and turned the engine on. “You know the way back to the mansion?” He asked Declan.Declan nodded. “Don’t knock over people along the way, Alpha.”Alpha Oren smirked, feeding fuel into the motorcycle, the engine groaned, ready to cover miles in just a few seconds. I under
