The next morning, Clarence woke up to Amelia’s scent, but when he turned over, half expecting her to be in bed with him, he found that the space beside him was empty and cold.

“Fuck,” he growled, looking down at his bare body. “What the actual fuck happened?”

Sitting up, he looked around his tent, taking in all the empty beer bottles that covered the floor, and realized that he had drank too much.

“Must have been from the alcohol,” he grumbled, getting up and throwing on some clothes. “There’s no fucking way she would be stupid enough to come here anyway.”

Deciding that he was simply yearning for her in his delirious state, he began to exit his tent, only to stop as Nadia came rushing in.

“Alpha!” She gasped, her wide eyes taking in the space around him. “There…”
