PETER'S POV

"Centuries ago, My Father was a debtor to a ruthless Alpha." I started on a solemn note as I stared at the whiskey in my cup. It took me to the night I had my last drink with Zeus. My palm gradually curled beneath the table while their gaze fell on me. Martha and Simon, seated by my side.

"Unfortunately he died without paying his debt and I was forced to carry the burden. I became the Alpha's secret right hand. Doing his dirty jobs. Killing, kidnapping, stealing and all sorts. They were payment for my father's debt."

I paused, my gaze still retained on the glass. A tiny smile beamed on my face. A sad one that didn't live to see the next second.
