Chapter R05

"How long are you going to remain like a statue?" Henry chirped but I still froze regardless. I kept staring at him in awe and disbelief. After so many years, here he was. Before me, wearing a cheerful countenance on his black outfit as if nothing disastrous had happened between us. As if he didn't disappear for centuries.

He took the bold step, gingerly walking towards me till he stood barely inches away from me. His face still retained it's attractiveness like I remembered, but they also beheld suffering he's probably endured over the years. His hair had a slight trace of gold strand on closer look, one I once used to run my fingers through. I still maintained my frozen status regardless. His smile deepened and then he gently wrapped his arms over me. Holding me firm in his cold embrace.

My breaths ceased and my eyes twitched. I was hoping to find comfort in his embrace like the old times but nothing was forthcoming from his cold body.

They weren't like Zeus. Warm and endearing.
