Fay woke up to the sound of the door bursting open, her eyes adjusted at the bright light that drifted into her poorly furnished room from the door.
“Put this on" The gamma said immediately she stepped in,thrusting a dress on the floor.
“What is going on?" Fay asked silently, picking up the unattractive dress.
“You must be stupid for asking me questions, your mate would be here in less than thirty minutes”The gamma snapped at her," Put that on immediately"
In five minutes,Fay was walking out of the omega's quarters where she slept and through the dark corridors , following closely behind the gamma as they walked hurriedly to the main house.
Fay's heart was pounding madly against her chest, threatening to burst out. Her legs were shaky as she walked quickly, trying to catch the pace of the gamma.
“I heard she's going to see her mate today" An omega gossiped as they passed by
Another snorted,”She has bad luck,no one would want someone like her"
“The Lord is just trying to get rid of her but she doesn't deserve someone like the Alpha. She is supposed to be mated to someone as lowly as her”Another omega whispered back.
They finally stepped into the grand sitting room ,the lights from the diamond chandelier hanging over heard pouring into her eyes.
“You took your sweet time getting here," The last snapped,”Don't think you are starting to be important, you are still a slave”
Fay lowered her head but said nothing, she listened to the sound of her heart pounding, feeling the sense of nervousness pouring over her.
The door burst open as if hit by a bomb and Alpha Roderick walked arrogantly in ,his hand shoved into his trouser's pocket while the other was scrolling through his smartphone , following closely behind were two huge suited security guards.
Fay drowned in the powerful sight of him as he strode in ,his eyes not leaving his smartphone.
“Alpha Roderick," The Lord called,”You are highly welcome to my humble abode"
Alpha Roderick looked up from his phone and sighed," Let's get this over with,I don't have time to waste. Where is she?"
The Lord smiled and turned back to Fay who still had her head lowered .
“Step forward,Fay" He grated.
Fay walked forward with her head bowed and her hands pinned to her back, her heart still pounding as the Alpha's eyes roamed over her.
“Who is this?" He snapped.
The Lord and lady exchanged glances and then the Lord cleared his throat.
“Her name is Fay and she is your mate," He replied.
Alpha Roderick looked at her with disdain ,a sour expression crossing his features.
“Is this an insult,Lord Benard? You mean I came all the way down here for this?”He asked angrily,”She doesn't even have the wolf traits, she is useless to me”
Fay felt as if she had been punched in the guts, his words pierced her like a two edged sword and she fought back the tears that threatened to fall.
A sly smile rose up the lady's lips,it was just the exact reaction she had wanted.
“She was chosen for you in the mating festival as your mate,Alpha Roderick”She said
" Impossible!”Alpha Roderick spat angrily,”A mate without the wolf traits is unacceptable. We can't have a weak link in our pack as a Luna ,I won't mate with someone who can't even shift"
Fay felt her whole body trembling again, tears pricked at the corners of her eyes.
The lady smiled pleased, she stepped forward, her heels clicking on the tiled floor.
“Well,my dear Alpha Roderick,I Know you're disappointed and thought you have wasted your time. You can't certainly mate with a girl without any wolf traits and besides she is one of the lowly slaves here”
“How true is this,Lord Benard?" Alpha Roderick asked the moment he heard she was a maid.
The Lord feigned a sad expression on his face,”That is very true"
" That is a sacrilege,”Alpha Roderick spat again.
“You know we can't lie to you but if only the Alpha pleases to hear what I have to say”The lady cooed
Alpha Roderick sighed," Go ahead”
The lady smiled ,”Perhaps,my daughter Gwen can be a good match for your son,she is eighteen and beautiful, untouched by any man and she has the wolf traits. Her wolf has already manifested , perhaps she would be a more suitable match for your son?”
Fay felt as if she had been punched in the guts, she felt weak all over as tears rushed to her eyes and slipped down her cheeks.
“Where is she?" Alpha Roderick asked impatiently.
The lady looked up at the top of the stairs and everyone followed her eyes to where Gwen stood looking down at them, her face stained with heavy makeup and her blonde hair pulled up on her head.
She slowly ascended down the stairs like a princess, taking one step at a time as she came to stand beside her mother
“She is very beautiful”Alpha Roderick said,”I like her"
“And what do you say,Gwen ?" Rosie turned to her daughter.
Gwen looked up and smiled sweetly
“I'd be honored to be considered as a potential mate for Roderick”She said, her voice dripping with sweetness.
“It is settled then,I choose you Gwen as my mate this very day" Roderick said smiling.
He extended his hand to her and she took it as he brought it up to his lips and planted a kiss on the back of her palm
Then he turned to look at Fay,his expression sour " AND, I , ALPHA RODERICK, REJECT YOU, FAY AS MY MATE "
Fay looked up at him, tears slipping down her cheeks, her chest burning with pain and hurt.
“Take her away, let her get busy with something" The Lord told the gamma.
The gamma nodded and marched forward, pulling her hand and taking her away like a piece of dirty rag.
Tears slipped down Fay's cheeks as she followed the gamma, they brushed
past the lady who whispered something to the gamma.
”You know what to do," She said.
Dominic sat beside Fay on the bed, his eyes full of concern as he gently wrapped a thick, warm, blanket around her shivering body. Her skin was ice cold to the touch, and her breathing still came in ragged gasps. The transformation had taken a toll on her, but he knew she would be alright. The room was quiet, save for the faint crackling of the fire in the hearth, which cast soft, dancing shadows across the stone walls. The Elders had shown them to a small, secluded room in the ancient building where they could rest. Dominic had already prepared a calming herbal brew for her, the scent of mint and lavender filling the air. He helped her drink it slowly, watching as she winced slightly at the bitter taste, but she sipped it down, her fingers trembling against the cup."That should help you relax," Dominic murmured softly, brushing a strand of her damp hair from her forehead. "You did well, Fay. That was... an incredible moment."Fay nodded, but her gaze was distant, as if she were sti
The air inside the car was thick with anticipation as Dominic drove toward the unknown. Fay sat beside him, her hands tightly clenched in her lap, her mind swirling with a mix of fear, confusion, and excitement. The journey had been long, but they were finally close. The Elders had asked to meet her--no, they needed to meet her. It was time for her to understand who she truly was, what she was destined to become. It was time.As the car came to a slow stop, Fay looked out the window, her breath catching in her throat. The building before them was massive, ancient and intimidating. Towering stone walls stretched up to the sky, covered in ivy and worn by time. At the entrance stood two giant wolf statues, their eyes fierce and unblinking, as if guarding the threshold to a realm beyond her comprehension. The statues were worn, but their majesty still commanded respect.Dominic's voice cut through her thoughts as he turned off the engine. "We're here."Fay nodded silently, her heart raci
The night was thick with an eerie silence that settled like a heavy blanket over the mansion. Outside, Fay could hear even the faintest sounds, she listened as the wind whispered through the trees, and inside perhaps from the very far distance, all was still. Was this all that comes with her powers, with her wolf awakening? She decided to focus on just one sound and then almost successfully the only sound she brought herself to hear now was the steady, rhythmic breathing of Dominic as he slept, his chest rising and falling in the peaceful rhythm of slumber. Fay lay awake beside him, staring up at the dark ceiling and at the sane time, trying to control the bubbling inside her veins. For wolves sake, she could even hear her blood surging in her human-wolf veins. Her mind was far from peaceful, troubled by thethoughts of the future and the power she was still learning to control. The faint hum of her own energy buzzed in the background, but it was the images of the Council, the threat
The room remained eerily still as the last echoes of Fay's explosive display faded into the air. The trainers, who had been silent witnesses to the unexpected eruption of power, began to stir, their murmurs low but filled with awe. "Good grief, she's becoming powerful" Someone whispered "More than Dominic? I don't think so." Someone whispered back."How in the name of the moon goddess did she do that?" Another asked."Is she really what they're all saying she is?"One by one, they filed out of the room, speaking in hushed tones to one another, clearly shaken by what they had just witnessed. The training hall, usually filled with the sounds of combat and training, now seemed haunted by the aftermath of the power that had surged from Fay.Fay stood in the center of the room, still reeling from the overwhelming wave of strength that had taken hold of her. Her breath came in quick, shallow gasps as she tried to steady herself. She could still feel the pulse of her wolfs energy thrummin
The sounds of the training room echoed through the mansion, a constant rhythm of grunts, footsteps, and the clash of limbs as the fighters trained relentlessly. Sweat dripped from their brows, muscles straining under the weight of their efforts. The trainers, sitting at the sidelines, observed with sharp eyes, making sure every move was executed perfectly, every strike counted. In the middle of it all stood Fay, her body poisedand alert, facing her opponent - Dominic. She had been training with him for weeks now, growing more powerful each day.Today, however, was different. Today, Dominic had decided to push her further, to challenge her in ways he hadn't before. He nodded to her challenger, telling him to take a break as he walked to Fay who was looking surprised as well as the other trainers.Fay gave him a questioning look and he only smiled, he could see the uncertainty in her eyes as he stepped forward , she stood doubting if it was possible to combat Dominic. She felt the ten
The quiet of the mansion settled over Dominic like a blanket, his mind wandering to the changes that had come into his life. His chest was bare, the smooth skin of his muscles stretching as he stood before the mirror. In the reflection, his inky ancient tattoos seemed darker, deeper, as if they too were growing with the awakening that had started within him. His mind was full of thoughts...thoughts about Fay, about her power, about the future that seemed so uncertain but still so full of promise. He was aware of the changes happening within her, but every time he looked at her, it felt as though the transformation was unfolding at a faster pace than even he had expected.Dominic's gaze was unfocused as he stared at himself, contemplating the mysteries that lay ahead, but the sound of the bathroom door creaking open pulled him from his thoughts. He glanced over, his heart skipping a beat when he saw Fay emerge from the bathroom, the dim light casting soft shadows across her silhouet
