Leila's POV.

“You crazy bitch.” I stumbled, immediately the slap hit me.

The pain in my face was immediate, and I could see the tears running down my face and a smile on his face.

My hands flew up to touch my cheek and my nose began to bleed once again, it wasn't as bad this time, however. His laugh filled the room as if he won something.

“You weak thing.” He spat.

He tilted my chin, forcing me to look him dead in the eyes. A shiver ran down my back.

“Do you know why we hate you? Do you?” My body froze up as I felt a hand grab my hair tightly.

“The whole pack hates you because you're a rogue, a slave, and you have a weak wolf.”

I knew this was coming, and I prepared myself for the inevitable pain. The last time he did that, I had a few broken ribs.

His free hand wrapped around my throat, squeezing tight. His other hand went over mine, and he gripped my wrists together behind my back, causing me to cry out.

I could see his smirk from my peripheral vision. This would hurt even more than before, but I couldn't let him do anything more. I felt like my death was as the corner.

But there's something different tonight. It isn't just the pain anymore.

There's anger too.

There's an overwhelming amount of rage boiling through my veins. I know he has no right to do this to me.

No right at all.

The sound of bones cracking broke me out of my thoughts.

I tried to kick him, but it didn't help. I could barely breathe, let alone move.

I wasn't strong after all, I had a weak wolf, and I couldn't fight back when this happened to me.

No matter how much I wanted to. But he wasn't done yet.

“This is your punishment for what you've done.” With every word, he squeezed harder. It only made the pressure increase, it was making it hard to breathe.

Suddenly, I could see stars and my head felt dizzy. I felt like I might black out.

“For the first time ever, the pack will be rid of another filthy rogue!” I felt him let go of my neck, and my hands were still bound behind my back.

I looked down to see blood seeping through my tattered shirt from where the cuts are.

My chest hurts, my breathing feels ragged as I feel my lungs burning. I want to run away, but I can't move. All I'm left with is my legs shaking and the tears rolling down my cheeks.

“Get up.” He barked.

I couldn't disobey. No matter how much I hated him right now, I wouldn't dare disobey the alpha. If you do not submit, then you are killed.

I stood shakily and took a few steps towards the door.

He grabbed my arm. He pushed me forward until my shoulder slammed into the wall and I fell down onto the floor.

He kicked me several times, repeatedly, without mercy.

I felt something inside me break and shatter as he continued, each kick sending shards of glass deeper into me.

I cried silently and tried to curl up into a ball, so I wouldn't be beaten any longer.

“Stop.” I whimpered. “It hurts, enough!!.”

I heard a chuckle in the back of his throat. “No need to beg, little bitch.”

He dragged me up, I shivered while standing, my feet dragging across the concrete floor. He put me in front of the mirror and I stared at myself, trying to make sense of the mess that is my face.

Tears and blood covered it completely. Most of the skin around my eyes has been torn away, revealing small wounds that are slowly bleeding sluggishly.

I wished my parents were still alive, I wished they weren't accused of being rogues, I wished they were not killed unfairly, I wouldn't face what I was facing right now.

He dropped me on a chair, “sit here.” He walked to the entrance of the room.

“She's here.” He called out.

Footsteps sounded and a tall man entered.

A man I didn't recognize, but from the energy emanating from him, I knew he would be an alpha too or someone of power.

I suddenly smelled him, his scent was so delicious that I could hardly believe it. I knew what this scent meant, this man I'm looking at is my mate.

I couldn't believe the moon goddess gave me another chance to have a mate after getting rejected by Alpha Rick.

I knew he could scent me, too, with the way his nostrils flared at the sight of me.

He walked toward us, “Who is she?” he asked.

My heart skipped a beat as I thought about what was going to happen next.

“She's the slave I'm selling to you, Alpha Darren.” Alpha Rick smiled.

Turning to me, he sneered, I suddenly remembered what he said about the pack finally being rid of me.

“How much?” Alpha Darren asked.

“She's not worth anything, but I will give you a price since I've endured her so far.”

“10,000 and that's it.” He stated.

“Isn't that much for a slave that has no worth?” Alpha Darren raised his eyebrows.

“You'll want to keep her.” Alpha Rick replied.

“She's the daughter of Mr. Storm.” He smiled dangerously.

The rage that emanated from Alpha Darren immediately he heard my surname scared me, his eyes darkened, and he took another step forward looking at me for a while.

“I'll pay triple the price.” He announced suddenly.

“Amazing.” Alpha Rick chuckled, he handed the money in the bag he held to Alpha Rick and turned to me.

“Let's go.” He said.

My heart was beating faster than ever and my eyes grew wide, I didn't know what I should do or say.

He directed me towards a car, I entered still shivering, wondering what would happen to me.

I looked back at the car and saw Alpha Darren staring back at me, his eyes filled with so much hatred.

“You'll wish the goddess didn't make us mates, I won't reject you, but I'll make your life so unbearable.”  He growled.

“Please.” I pleaded, I don't know what I was pleading for, but I could see it in his eyes, he meant what he said to me.

Why is alpha Darren mad? Ah, let me guess, her father or whoever Mr. Storm is killed his family- his beloved mother or whatever.
