Chapter Fifty

I snuck out of the house to have an arranged call with Kozlova. We have already made plans on the days and time to call. Thankfully, Logan has made himself scarce in the house, and Leah and I are not in talking terms, so the arrangement suits me just fine.

I had to go outside because I cannot risk anyone listening in on our conversation. I cannot jeopardize my one chance of bringing Logan D’Nores to his feet, crying and pleading for mercy for what he did to me.

I was about opening the door to my room when I saw that it is ajar. Who could have entered the room in my absence and at this time of the night? I am pretty sure I closed the door when I left. Or had Logan come in when I was out? That cannot even be possible, because if he did, I would have noticed him driving in or something.

Now this is why I had to go all the way outside to talk to Kozlova because of incidences like this. I would have been caught red-handed, and I am certain Logan will feed me to the dogs should he find out
