Chapter One - Hundred & Ninety Three

“We need to talk, man,” Ethan said the moment he entered the room about an hour later.

Alice is still sleeping peacefully, and Leah has since gone to change and freshen up. Before I left Alice’s side, I made sure she was breathing fine.

“We will not spend more than five minutes,” I said as I stood up and followed Ethan to the study.

He nodded in agreement. Somehow, he and Leah have decided to be very co-operative this period, which is very sensitive of them.

“What have you found?” I asked him. “It is Kozlova general, is it not?”

Just then, Leah entered.

I wanted to question her as to why she is present. Usually, I do not approve of Leah being present or involved in my businesses.

I prefer to keep her protected, and completely out of the way, as it has always been, except of course, it is unavoidably urgent. But right now, I decided to just let her be.

If she wants to be here to know what happened, then she can, and it is also because of the genuine concern she showed to Alice earlier
