Chapter 36 ____ Son's Mother

The sound of machine beeping awakened me. I opened my eyes groggily to see a female doctor, writing down notes next to my bed.

" Where..am I..", I managed to mutter those words but somewhere, my throat ached badly. The female doctor gave me a small smile, helping me to regulate the bed,

" You are awake? You fainted in the car, Miss Stevens!"

I barely remembered the moment. My thoughts were so occupied with everything that I couldn't remember the conversation with Molly. After swallowing hard, I looked around to see Molly. But there wasn't anyone nearby.

" What happened to me?", I questioned the doctor, rubbing my head slightly. My head felt too heavy like stone.

" Did you miss your period?"
