Chapter Twenty-three

The constant bouncing on the bed woke me up. I tried to open one of my eyes to see what was going on.

"Wake up, Mom!" Loki yelled as he jumped onto the bed.

"Mom!" Thor exclaims, mirroring his twin, as they both jump on the bed to wake me up.

When I became anxious that they might fall, I jumped up quickly, even though I was still sleepy, and reached for them to stop them.

"Stop doing that boys, you'll end up hurting if you fall there," I yawned, pointing to the ground.

"Why are you sleeping for such a long time, Mama?" Loki asked, using hand gestures to indicate how long I had been sleeping.

When I looked at the clock, I realized I had slept for far too long.

"Mama is just starting to regain her strength," I explained.

I slept for far too long today; it's almost lunchtime; this must be because I can sleep in peace now that I don't have to worry about anything.

I assisted them in getting off the bed.

"We're going out now that Mama is awake," Thor said as he walked to the door.
