Chapter 02

"Is this your house my lady?" 

I didn't respond, I was just examining him from head to toe while holding the long broomstick. I kept my distance for about five meters away and didn't let my gaze avert from him. 

He awkwardly smiled and brushed off his messy hair. He was avoiding my gaze and stayed on his place without moving. 

After I held his hand earlier, I stomped his feet and ran away from him. 

"I'm not really a bad guy my lady, I was just lost. I haven't figure out a way for me to go back, I was chased by a monster and found this castle." 

I tilt my head like a dog and fumed my forehead. "You look like the monsters from the outside." 

He raised his hands and shake his head repeatedly. "I'm not a revolting monster, I'm an innocent man. I was lost... Really. "

"No man can enter this castle, only the monsters so you're a monster!" I hissed and pointed the broomstick on his direction. 

He stepped back and tried to brushed off the pointed broomstick. "I'm not a bad guy!" he plead. 

"Monster! Get out from here! You can never take me!" my rage possessed the broomstick and tried to beat him.

He ran away from me so I chased him together with my long broomstick. "Come back here monster! I will punish you!" I demanded.

He keeps insisting that he was totally not a bad guy but I can feel danger from him, I can't even see any vision in his eyes. He was like a mirror to me, I can't see my own vision as well as his. 

"Don't! Ouch! That hurts my lady...aw!"

His butt and shoulder was hit by my broomstick and kept running away to escape my rage. 

"My Lady please aw! Have mercy on me." He was about to avoid the hit but he slipped his feet and the layered books collapsed together with him. 

My books! 

"I thought I was going die." 

He shook his head trying to brush off the dirt coming from the layered books. When he raised his head, he stunned and turned pale. 

"E-Eh?"

I hit his head using the book that made him lost his consciousness. Did I hit him too hard? 

I tied him using a long thick rope on a chair and stares at him. He looks natural but Lily told me that a nasty one would never show their true appearance. 

He might be hiding his true intentions deep inside him, the smell of danger is lingering around him. 

I won't allow him to take my sisters nor take me, he must leave in this castle or I'll kill him. 

His eyes slowly opened and when our eyes met, his innocent expression turned into a pale one and tried to escape from the rope I tied around him. 

"Monster, you should leave my castle or I'll feed you to your own kind outside the cave." 

He stopped and breathed heavily before looking at me with a serious face. "I would be glad to leave this place my lady but I'm afraid that I can't. The monsters outside are waiting for me to feast their tummies," he said.

"How can I believe your words when I can't even see any vision in your eyes. Leave! before my sisters come back," I ordered. 

"Vision you say? My lady, pardon my stubbornness but I do not see any color of everything. I can only see your shadow. " 

What? What is he saying? Is he blind? A color blind? I gulped and raised my hand. "How many are my fingers?" 

"It's five my lady, your fingers are small and your height is about 4'1 feet long and according to your tiny voice, you're in the middle of 8 or 9 years of age." 

"I am 9." I raised my nine fingers in front of him and his lips curved upwards, looking at me with amusement on his eyes. 

"What is your name my lady?" 

His eyes aren't even moving, it was like a frozen sea filled with different emotions. Is it hard to only see the shadow of one person? 

"My name is Finesia but my sisters calls me Sia. How about you?"

"I am Leonardo my lady, it was nice meeting you."

I removed the rope that was tied on his body. He wasn't a bad guy I guess, but the problem is, I don't think my sisters would accept him especially Lily. 

"Do you have any ability? Like hiding yourself or becoming invisible?" I asked after untying the rope. 

He chuckled and shook his head. "I'm just an ordinary man my lady, I'm afraid that I can't even kill a flying bird using these bear hands." 

What should I expect from him, he was lucky to find our castle in the middle of being chased by the monsters. 

"My Lady, why aren't you asking me about my age?" he asked.

"You're taller than me so I guess your ten times older than me," I answered. 

He choked and the bitterness on his face was too visible. Did I say something wrong? 

"I'm not that old my lady, I can still wait for you to grow up."

I was confused by what he just said. "Why would you wait for me?"

He smiled sweetly and felt his hand on my cheeks. "You'll know when you grow up my lady, just until then, don't let any man see you okay?" 

I was about to open my mouth when I heard the laughter coming from the outside and realized that they are back. 

I quickly pulled his hand and shuddered. "You need to go! My sisters... They're back." 

He pouted. "I don't know where I can stay my lady, I don't have any place to stay." 

I was panicking while trying to figure a way out for him to leave the castle. I dragged him outside the castle and went to the mountain where I used to play. 

I climbed up on the big tree and beamed when I saw my tree house. It was well organized and my body can still enter the small door. 

"Psst. Come up here!" 

I peeked from above and called him out. He climbed up and when he reached the top of the tree where the tree house is, I invited him to go inside. 

"That's the only place I can offer, it's not that big but it's comfy." 

His eyes adventured the whole tree house and smiled. "Thank you my lady, thank you for lending me this comfy house." 

It felt like I've seen him somewhere, somewhere that I cannot recall. From the past, present, or future, he was there but I cannot tell where it was. 

Realizing that I wasn't inside the castle without telling them, I ran faster to get back in the castle but I heard him suddenly spoke. 

"Please visit me tomorrow my lady, I'll be waiting for you." 

Is he not afraid of anything? Leia would scold me if I escape again. This is my last escape, I will never do it again.
