Miracle's POV

Just how much fate hates me that the man who saved me twice is the one whom my father wants me to seduce?

I've heard about him before from Norman and Mark. They often talk about him and it's obvious how jealous they were of him. And why wouldn't they? Hawkins Pride is the youngest billionaire in America who just joined the list this year, and he's also one of the hottest bachelors in the whole world.

I was beyond shocked when I heard who he was, I was swallowed with guilt. I was disheartened knowing what I needed to do to him in order to save my mother.

Despite the guilt and my conscience gnawing at my brain, there was also the spark of desire I felt the first time our skin touched. It was the reason I never showed up.
