Chapter 5 I wanted you to know I wasn't dead

Ha! "When did I die?" Benjamin scoffed.

"Boss, it’s you?" The assistant asked, surprisingly. This woman is a shrew; how can he say the boss is dead while he is still alive? "Fear women; no wonder I am not going to marry." He thought to himself and shook his head.

"Of course it’s me. After I had an accident, she drove me away, and now she claims I am dead. I think it’s time to meet her. "Arrange a car for me; we are going to Vivian's company."

The secretary replied and did as he had said. Benjamin set off for the company. When he got there, he looked at the name being changed to Vivian’s company, and the pictures that were hanging at the entrance had been changed to hers. He clenched his fist and calmed his nerves down. He didn’t greet the receptionist; the receptionist wanted to stop him, but his murderous aura shut her up.

"Who is he?" "He looks powerful." One of the employees, who also felt his aura, said

"I don’t know him," the receptionist responded.

"And you permitted him to enter the boss's office; will you be able to explain to her?" The employee reprimanded her.

"Go and stop him; you are also an employee here," she said, and stood up to do her own thing.

The employee immediately shut up. He can’t stop him, indeed. He would fall down on his knees.

Vivian was on a phone call when Benjamin entered. He was facing the window, so she couldn’t see who it was.

"Put the files on the table and leave," she commanded. She thought it was her secretary.

She was expecting the door to be shut, but the place was silent. "What happened?" she mumbled and turned.

"Oh my gosh!" She was startled and dropped the phone. Ben.. Ben.. Jamin, what are you doing here?" She asked in a panicked voice.

"Of course I came to visit my ex-wife. I want her to know I am not dead but still alive," he said and sat on the couch.

"Of course you are still alive. Who said you were dead?" Vivian tried to calm down.

"Well, that is what I heard," he replied and looked around. His office has really changed. His pictures, which were displayed and hung on the wall, have been removed. His favorite awards have been removed and replaced by Vivian’s. He was enraged, but he kept his cool. There was no emotion shown on his handsome face.

"It was because, to me, you are already dead," she replied.

"I see. Then I guess I will have to make you feel that I am alive and it is dead. I think it has been two years since you have forgotten what I can do. I guess I will have to make you remember." He said it icily.

"And what can you do?" I am more powerful than you; I am the second-most powerful and richest businesswoman in this country. Do you think you can touch me?" She said it confidently.

"Aww, it's good, you  are the  second. Have you ever thought of who the first? "I guess you don’t know," he replied coolly, his legs crossed together.q

Realization hit her. "Wait,  don’t tell me, you are the first. How is this possible? I was ranked first two years ago, but it changed after six months. Do you think you are capable enough to build your own empire? You were crippled at that time. In case you have forgotten." She mocked him.

"Really, there is no need for me to talk further. Anyway, I came to tell you that I am still alive and not dead. And I will take what was personally mine. "You have to prepare because I am not weak." He said it coldly and left.

"Shit, no, no, no, he can’t be the most powerful man in this country. He can't; he was crippled and couldn’t make it within six months. I refused to believe it. She shook her head continuously.

She picked up her phone and called her secretary. "I need you in my office now. I said now! She roared.

The secretary rushed to her office. "Boss, I am here," he said, panting heavily.

“ I need you to search for all the information on Benjamin Miller. everything, including his properties. I need it within an hour." She barked.

"Ok, boss," he replied and left.

"If it's true, then I guess I have a great battle to fight." His hands were shaking out of fear. She didn’t know what to do. He really gave her a surprise gift.

She called the strange number. "I told you to hire some top international assassins to kill Benjamin Miller; why is he still alive?" He growled at them.

"Madam, calm down; he is not an easy target." We need to be careful with our plans, or else we might lose them. We did some little investigation on him. And I guess he is more powerful than we think. "We all want the job to be done perfectly." The man said

"Can’t you hire more than ten assassins at the same time?" He is only one person; how strong is he that he will be able to defeat all of them? "Stop that stupid excuse and do the work before I lose my temper," she barked.

"Don’t worry, madam. "The job will be done very soon." He assured him.

"When will it be done?" She asked impatiently.

"Very soon, Madam."

"You stupid fool, I need a definite answer; what do you mean by very soon?" You have three days to do this job. If I don’t receive some good news within three days, you will hear from me. You will know why I am called Jezebel the destroyer." She said it sternly and hung up.

She was hot and very angry. She couldn’t sit still and went to the shower to wash herself. This is not the time to get mad. "She needs to calm down and plan something that will bring him down once and for all," she thought to herself as the water dripped down to calm her down.
