Chapter 6 What do you mean you couldn't kill him

Three days later, Benjamin was going on a business trip. He got to the middle of the road. There was no one on the road. People usually don’t pass on that road because it is quite dangerous. Because he was late for work, he decided to use that road because it was the shorter road to get to his destination.

"Boss, we are ambushed," his secretary said.

"He raised his head and realized they were surrounded by a large group of people in a black outfit."

When he got out of the car with his secretary to deal with them, he scrutinized them and realized these people weren’t ordinary killers, but they were well trained. " Ha! "Vivian has really started early." He mumbled.

The assassins all rushed him with a high speed." They were warned to fight harder or else they might lose their lives, but they didn’t take the fight to be child's play. All of them flew at him at once, but he dodged them swiftly. He kicked one of the assassins, who was a lady, and she yelled in pain. He took the opportunity to kick her stomach. She fell down. Luckily for him, he had fun with his shot, killing five of the assassins, including the lady who was wincing in pain. It was a tough fight, but he was able to defeat them. It was left with only one person who was able to flee. He was lucky because he escaped when he realized he might lose his life.

After they were done dealing with them, both he and the secretary were fine, but he had been wounded on his left hand.

"Why didn’t they attack you?" he asked.

"Boss, I don’t know, but maybe it was because they knew I was not the target that was why they didn’t." He gave him a lame excuse.

"Really, there was no way someone would find out I was going on a business trip. It came impromptu, and so we had to rush here. Even the company is not aware I am going to a business except you.

So how did you know of this?" He inquired.

"Sir, are you suspecting me?" he asked in panic.

"I am not, but I hope you don’t have a hand in it. I hate betrayal. If I find out you are the one that relayed the information to them, I will kill with my own hands. Trust me if I say I will do so," he warned him.

When they were fighting, they didn’t attack him, and he didn’t even kick one of them. They will pass by him and attack him. He found it to be wired. He will investigate everything when they go home.

"Aww, no, I am d dead. I knew it would

end in this when I betrayed him. His secretary didn’t want to do this at first.  But Vivian’s secretary invited him over. She told him,  she has hired some top assassins, which Benjamin wouldn’t be able to survive. He will die too, because he is with him. But if he wants to survive, he must betray his boss. He agreed without hesitation because he thought his boss wouldn’t be able to survive and no one would know about it. Who knows his boss would be able to survive and even kill all of them? It seems he made the wrong decision.

Anyway, he made sure all evidence was wiped, so he wouldn’t see anything even if he tried to investigate the matter. This made him relax and not think further.

"Rest assured, boss, I'm not going to do such a thing." "I wouldn’t betray you no matter what." He said it confidently.

To him, he thought his voice was full of confidence and that his boss wouldn’t be able to detect any change in emotion. But he had forgotten that he was Benjamin Miller. He could already detect the uncertainty in his voice.

"I hope so; continue driving to our destination." He ordered. He will deal with him later. How dare he betray him?

"The driver's hands have been sweating all through the journey." He will sometimes be distracted.

"Watch out. Are you ok?" Benjamin told her he was about to crush a car against a pole.

"Yes, boss, I am. I am just a little shocked about what happened. What if we couldn’t survive?" He said a little lie.

"It's alright, we are fine. You should stay focused and not be distracted. We have survived, and it has already happened. "Don't let your imagination run wild or else we all die." He said.

"I am sorry, boss; it wouldn’t happen again." He pleaded and stayed focused all through the journey.

.......

Vivian had a shower and was in a happy mood.

She was very happy and in a very good mood. She was waiting for good news. She believed Benjamin wouldn’t be able to survive this attack.

Her phone rang, and she rushed to take it. " Has the job been done? Is he dead? She asked with anticipation.

"No, miss, we couldn’t kill him; we have lost the men," he said.

"What do you mean you couldn’t kill him? What sort of rubbish did you just utter? Ten top international assassins couldn’t kill one person?"

"Sorry, miss, only one person was able to survive?" He said it in a low voice.

"Ha, you are going to vomit the money. After I have paid a sum of ten thousand dollars, you are telling me the men are dead. What sort of bullsh*t is this? Do you think it is funny? How does it concern me when they all couldn’t survive? Since I paid them, they have paid with their lives. I need the job to be done as soon as possible, or else you will hear from me tomorrow." She hung up the phone angrily.

"Ten assassins couldn’t kill the crippled." It's just been two years since he covered it. How strong are his legs that he was able to beat the top assassins? Does that make sense? Benjamin, oh. Benjamin, how many more times can you stand my wrath? You are just lucky. Let's see if you will be lucky tomorrow." She smirked evilly.
