Fifteen

Miranda hadn’t appreciated just how busy this week was actually going to be. Along with work, she had to spend the whole of Monday evening preparing for Wednesday’s talk, thanks to her sister’s dinner invitation the following night.

As soon as she got home, she cleared the dining table ready to lay out her work. Her stomach was already rumbling so she went into the kitchen to take out a microwave meal from the freezer. She made holes in the cellophane with a knife and stuck it on to do its thing.

She’d decided to go back through her dissertation and old notes to come up with something. Waves of nostalgia washed through her as she remembered her time at university. A lot of her course mates hadn’t really been too fussed about getting good marks, they just wanted to party.
